I think the cool thing about that is Rodgers' streak is all within one season. I'm pretty sure Starr had most of those in 1965, but all the other streaks span two seasons.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll post it here. Rodgers is also pretty high on the list now of durable QB's. Even though he's in just his 3rd season as a starter , only 5 Qb's have started more consecutive games than his current number of 44. They are (unofficially):

Brett Favre 297
Peyton Manning 204
Eli Manning 92
Philip Rivers 76
Jay Cutler 60 Note: Brees would be at 92 if he hadn't sat out their last meaningless game last year.


Just being out there every week is a huge thing when you consider how few good backups there are in the league. Of course, Favre's and Peyton Manning's streaks are absolutely incredible when you consider how few QB's can string together even 3 seasons of starting every game.

Although QB rating doesn't always tell the whole story, and as you can see it heavily favors the QB's of the last decade, it's still nice to see Rodgers is doing decent.

Smart is an attribute not used enough when describing Rodgers. He's a very intelligent football player/QB. You see examples of it every week.
