Anybody have any awesome pet names ? We just got a boxer and we're at war about the name. It's a chick; my wife likes chick names and I like dog names. At this point the kids and I like Rocky and the wife likes all kind of stupid gal names.

Feel free to post your coolest dog names

Is she brindle or tan? I have a shepherd named Kyra (pronounced KEE ra). I've always wanted a Johnnie but always catch hell for it. Boxers typically are dumb as bricks which is why my mom loved hers so much. What's your favorite female cartoon hero? Or you could name her Ali if you want the boxing reference. What was Muhammed's daughter's name? There are ways to go badass and girl all at the same time.

You could call her Karma and tell people that Karma is a bitch.

I have two:

Cujo, after the goaltender, not the St Bernard.

Pal - because that is what your dog is.

M Ali's daughter is Laila, which is what her current name is........but we're not in love with that one. It's a white boxer with beautiful brown colorings and big brown patches around each eye. We'd probably name it Bandit had we not names a past dog that. It also looks like a Panda but my in law named their dog that. Lots of great ideas in here. I like most of the name suggestions.

Bert

You have got to go Bert.

Great dog's name, Packer Rat shoutout and a tribute to your favorite Packer. If any pro-Brett Rats protest the adoption of a Brett slur, you tell them you are reclaiming the name to take away its power to hurt. To your wife you explain its short for Bertha.

Or go Petey.

Wrong breed, still a great dog and dog name. Tell your wife its short for Petra.

I'd call that dog Chaney, after Charles Bronson's character in "Hard Times."

What about naming her Bonnie (after the famous bandit) or bruiser for the patches?

I almost named my younger dog Frankie (she has blue eyes). The kid and his father would have none of it.

There is now a third dog in our house, a lab-husky mix rescue lugged home by our least practical college daughter. She has is a total head case, at once brilliant and stupid. A couple of hours ago she must have slipped back outside, unbeknownst to us, as we were letting the other two dogs in. We didn't miss her since she tends to get under beds or behind couches rather than bear the agoraphobic trauma of snoozing on the floor as her the rest of her doggy pack do. Two hours of temperatures in the teens was plenty even for a part husky as she apparently stood on her hind legs to ring the doorbell rather insistently with her front paws. I'm left peering stupidly into the dark for a few moments until I realize it's the college dog and not the Avon lady ringing my doorbell in the blackness of an arctic evening here in Wisconsin.

Dumb dog.

are you talking about your daughter or the dog? or is your daughter the dog? or do you send your dog to college?

Poor syntax, fuzzy pronoun relationships, and lack of clarity are the hallmarks of swedish posting style. As my grandfather he used to say about his cousin Ralph and his dog: he wouldn't know how to hunt duck if one hit him on the head and the other one can't swim.
