Rosters will be announced today. Kind of strange that there haven't been any leaks.

I'd agree with that. Sitton might make it on the team though--since he got such a big boost from the fans.

Too many other guys ahead of Jennings you think?

Jennings is first in receiving TDs and second in receiving yards, but he doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves. I just read an article from Pat Kirwan on nfl.com and he picked Larry Fitzgerald over Jennings on his Pro Bowl squad. He didn't even mention Jennings as somebody just missing out.

Jennings = 72 receptions, 1168 yards, 12 TDs
Fitzgerald = 79 receptions, 1012 tards, 5 TDs

He only listed 3 wideouts though, and I think four normally go. Personally, I'd pick Roddy White, Calvin Johnson, Jennings, and Hakeem Nicks. Hopefully, Jennings won't get beat out by Fitz.

Jennings has 5,000 yards in his career. Jennings is on pace to destroy Driver's Packer receiving records and make a strong case for the NFL HOF. Of course, he's going to have to have a healthy career, but he's off to a fantastic start. 1/3 of the way to the NFL HOF. I think 15,000 yards and 100+ TD's gets you in.

Chad Clifton, Greg Jennings, Nick Collins, Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson are the Packers Pro Bowlers.

ARod should have made it over Brees.

This.

Packers that I think deserve to go were Rodgers, Jennings, Matthews, Williams, and Raji.

That plus Sitton would be my list.

I think Rodgers should have gotten in over Ryan. Matt Ryan is very good, but cannot carry an offense the way Rodgers had to do at times. I'm not so sure Collins and Clifton have had Pro Bowl years, but name recognition helps. Tramon Williams deserved to be there, but when you have a teammate who plays the same position as you who is the reigning Defensive Player Of The Year, it's tough to get in.

At any rate, Rodgers will play in either the Pro Bowl or the Super Bowl, because if he's not in the Super Bowl, one of the other 3 guys probably will be.

agree with Joe; I don't see how Ryan can make it over AROD

The coaches/players must not have liked ARod since he was the second fan vote getter in the NFC for a QB...

BTW, Rodgers is on an epic roll. Since the first Minnesota game, he has 15 TDs and 1 interception. If Jennings hangs onto that ball (not to mention Jones this week), Rodgers would have 16 TDs and 0 interceptions in the last 7 games. Ridiculous!

QB rating in his last 6 games:
131.5
141.3
114.5
135.1
34.7
139.9

And again, if Jennings hangs onto the ball, his QB rating in the Lions game is over 100.

Rodgers should have been in over all three of those guys. Defenses have figured Vick out now and his INT's and fumbles have gone up drastically in his last 6 games compared to his first 6 where he was putting up video game numbers. Bree's with 21 INT's and Ryan who has a stellar running game made it ahead of Rodgers? I already knew the Pro Bowl was fucking stupid, but damn, every year it finds ways to amaze me.

That's some serious snubbage. Hopefully he continues his torrid pace and takes it out on the Bears.

Rodgers would have made the Pro Bowl if he had won close games.

Tough group to crack. He'll probably end up in just because one of those 3 will be in the superbowl. Next year, the Packers are going to have to be a top 2 team in the NFC if he wants to make it straight up.

Are you saying that Romo sucked passing the ball this year?

I'm saying that he didn't pass the ball this year. .......well for most of it anyway, and doesn't belong in the same discussion as those other qbs this year.

Why not the optimism that it won't matter that ARod didn't make it because he'll be in the Super Bowl? :|

Yep, Early on I said it was going to take time to figure out how to score without Finley and Grant. Right now it looks like they have it figured out (knock on wood). I remember seeing a line once when Montana was in his prime. 21/31 for 308yds and 3TD's. I thought, "man, that is how you play QB". Seems like every week I see that line for Rodgers, then he completes a few more passes for more yards before the game is over.

Like Chan says, the league has (re)figured out how to defend vick. I thought they might since guys don't usually change the way they play after the age of 30. He is still a dangerous weapon, but not looking as unstoppable as he did early.

Pretty good analysis. Sitton should have been there over Clifton, Kuhn should have got in on the Mike Alstott rules as a fullback. It's criminal that Raji and WIlliams weren't starters. I would debate that Raji has had a better season than CLay Matthews and Tramon has clearly outplayed almost every corner in the league. Not sure Woodson should be in.

All said, the pro bowl voting is a joke: it's a popularity contest and no more. We like to have the illusion that it represents the cream of the crop, but it simply does not.

I have to say that I love the way Rodgers has publicly handled the snub. He's more concerned with the Super Bowl than the Pro Bowl.

If Rodgers were to beat some sort of drug addiction, dependency issue, conquer personal demons, etc. and publicize it properly, he might make the pro bowl next year.

Getting rid of "The Belt" might help.

His team winning a few more games would help too. 26 points away from being 15-0 in this point (needed 5 more in 2 and just 4 more in the other points)
