QB or not QB?

Early last week, the Rams verbally agreed to trade reserve quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick of Harvard to the Green Bay Packers. Then, the very next day Rams executive Jay Zygmunt informed the Packers that the trade was off, no explanation provided. You have to wonder why the Packers are looking, considering how well Aaron Rodgers, the former first-round pick, has looked in many team drills.

My only guess is that TT isn't so happy that he drafted Martin. Maybe we can put him on the PS or something.

This tells me that the Packers aren't liking what they see from Ingle Martin.

Partial thinks this is prolly just a load of smoke. No way would TT give up on Ingle this early. Likewise, no way is A-Rod or Favre going to get cut. Ingle will be a fine 3rd qb. I'm not worried.

I think Martin did ok at the scrimmage, for a rookie. Maybe TT just really likes Fitzpatrick and thinks he's better. Or maybe the story is baloney. I think Martin is better than Wrobel for sure.

That trade would have been nice for next year if Favre were to retire. I think Fitzpatrick would have pushed Rodgers to develop even more. Competition is a good thing. I dont see Martin pushing Rodgers. However, Fitzpatrick (who has started games), might have.

Anyways, the whole subject might just be BS but you never know.

Maybe? It's Favre and then Aaron Rodgers and then nothing . . that satisfies Ted Thompson and MM, the OC Jag and the QB Coach MC.
