Reasons why the Green Bay Packers not only advance but win Super Bowl XVL:

1. Number one scoring defense in the entire NFL. Defense is a beast. Oh, and hold on...paging Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Cullen Jenkins...please report to the LINC next Sunday at 3:30 CST for the beat down.
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Who scares you from the NFC? Philly peaked with their Miracle in the New Meadowlands. ATL would've lost to GB but for a fumble at the one yard line. NO is flawed, Bears better than thought but no one is scared of them. How about St Louis/Seattle? LMAO
4. NE barely won at home against Matt Flynn, Pittsburgh secondary can't hold a candle to ours. Baltimore is overrated. I'll take Rodgers over Flacco any day.

Get on or get off. This shit's about to get interesting.

How? If you listen to the talking heads, they constantly get lathered up about the Ravens defense. Oh, woe is the team that would play the Ravens. They are a dangerous team.

Did you know the mighty Ravens, who have a good defense, finished behind the Packers in scoring defense? GB gets no pub for their D in comparison to the Ravens.

And their offense finished behind the Detroit Lions on scoring offense.

I hope I answered your question sufficiently.

they are not as good as most people "rate" them, therefore they are OVER rated?

Yeah, doesn't seem too hard to figure out--although I don't think Baltimore is overrated. They are a good team. They are a team that can beat the likes of Indy, NE, and Pittsburgh.

One of my coworkers is a HUGE eagles fan. Week one...we had a wager on the game. If the Packers won...he had to wear a Packers hat all week at work. And vice versa. Let's just say I had a good week. This time...we have a $50 bet.

The Packers can get to the Super Bowl by beating a Philadelphia team they've already beaten, an Atlanta team they lost to by 3 in the final seconds, and a Bears team they've split with. It's a daunting task to win 3 straight road playoff games, but not insurmountable.

If the D keeps playing this way they'll be just fine. As long as the offense can score more than 10 per game...

I missed that. They are 12-4 in a pretty good division. Maybe 'rated' is the wrong word. So statistically theyre not as good as some other teams? I guess it all depends on what 'talking heads' you listen to. I avoid espn like the plague.

Who? and..who cares? Isnt that what the standings are for?, then isnt that what the playoffs are for? To quote Bill Parcels. You are what you are.

Here's another reason: the Packers ended up playing one of the toughest schedules for all teams finishing .500 or better. By W-L record of opponents, they had the toughest (from ESPN NFCN blog (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/22066/2011-nfc-north-opponents-and-draft-order))

16. Jaguars 8-8 .500 .453
17. Raiders 8-8 .500 .500
18. Chargers 9-7 .563 .457
19. Giants 10-6 .625 .453
20. Buccaneers 10-6 .625 .477
21. Seahawks* 7-9 .438 .484
22. Chiefs* 10-6 .625 .414
23. Colts* 10-6 .625 .473
24. Eagles* 10-6 .625 .492
25. Packers* 10-6 .625 .520
26. Saints* 11-5 .688 .469
27. Bears* 11-5 .688 .473
28. Jets* 11-5 .688 .492
29. Ravens* 12-4 .750 .484
30. Steelers* 12-4 .750 .500
31. Falcons* 13-3 .813 .484
32. Patriots* 14-2 .875 .504

By Pro Football Reference's (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2010/) SoS rating (figured on points scored and points allowed), they were 3rd behind the Pats and Jets

As of last week's DVOA (http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2010/week-16-dvoa-ratings), Football Outsiders had them at the 6th hardest schedule for teams at or above .500.

In all of these ranking systems, they had the most difficult schedule in the NFC for teams 8-8 or better.

I have often felt like teams that are successful with tough schedules (NE, Pitt, NYG from '07) fare well in the playoffs. Hopefully that is the case for the 2010 Packers.

I see a three game post season winning streak for sure and a chance at the dance.

1. AR and his WR are better than was shown yesterday. We should have had three scores in the first half, fumble by DD, Drop by B Jack and JJ AGAIN missing a catch for six. They will fix that ;)

2. Running game sucks BUT we are still running the ball...it does not matter we need to keep pounding the rock to keep the defense honest and open up play action which works great for this team.

3. Defense is playing LIGHTS OUT!!! CMIII is a stud and demands doubles, Hawk is orchestrating the defensive calls like Capers is in his melon, Bishop is hitting people like they beat his mom, Walden Pond is the sneaky new guy that can hit the gaps and rush the passer...add in Jenkins and Raji and we have for the first time since Brown, White, Dotson and Jones 4 guys that can preasure the QB without blitzing...oh and that guy C Wood that is everywhere on the field and a guy named T Will that blankets the WRs like a snuggie blanket and Sam "defends you like a" Shields doing the same to the #2 guy on his side. This defense is scary good and hitting stride even after losing what 6 starters? WTF.

4. Mastay for President!

We can do it! Lift the glasses to three NFC Playoff Victories in 2011!

Well I can say this safely: I don't think their is a team left in the playoffs, on both sides, that the packers couldn't beat. Saying a lot for a team missing 14 players to IR. However, I don't think the packers can blow out anyone but seattle in terms of who is left, thus we should get highly entertaining, hihgly stressful games the rest of the way. Atlanta is sparkling at home, but they can't be too excited to see us, given we had them on the ropes pretty recently in their house, and we just brought an entirely different style of offense to philly.

Good to see you putting in extra effort. Let me know if I can start an argument with you to help clarify your thoughts. For instance, Mike Smith has got to be the worst coach left of a playoff team; beside Tomlin of course! :)

PM me your cell phone and I will send you a wake up call Seinfeld style.

Not only get to Super Bowl but WIN the Super Bowl.

Although I'm not sure what heinous, gratuitous act I can congure up for the Steelers or Jets. Hmmmmm.......
