I think it's proof there's no dominant team this year. The NFC held its own against the AFC though.

The Saints have been laying eggs like this all season. They had the superbowl hangover to end all superbowl hangovers. They would just periodically show up and lose a game they have no business losing. I thought they had it out of their system, but I guess not.

What chafes me the most is after the Packers take care of Philly tomorrow, the Bears get a stroll in the park home game against a team with a losing record. WTF win one game at home coming off a bye against a team with a losing record to secure a place in the NFC Championship Game.
Although the Saints are clearly the more talented team than the 'hawks, they also had to deal with flying 2,000 miles to play a game on a short week. Bears have no such problems.

My all-bird playoff run prediction is alive. The Pack will beat the eagles, falcons, sea hawks, and ravens for the Lombardi Trophy!

This is good stuff, especially since it means the seachickens beat the Bears. Would love to witness that.

Forget this noise. Only the Patriots and Steelers are on the level of the NFL's top 4.

In case people forgot, the bears haven't been any better than the Saints really. They've been EXTREMELY up and down all season long, much like the rest of the NFL. I think the Seahawks are going to make a game of it. They already wont there once this year, so they know going in that they can win - or at least they will enter THINKING they can win.

Honestly, I think the hawks, with the way that offense palyed, could be good enough to beat really anyone in the NFC if hte offense continues to play liek that. Reality is... it wont, and Lynch wont be cranking off 60+ yard runs breaking 6 tackles every game to seal the deal either.

Still, I do think they have a fighters chance at beating Chicago. After that it just depends who they would face. If it's us... I would NEVER guarentee we win the way we have played. VERY up and down, and we have to go ont he road in that case.

I read the thread title and thought our Skinbasket was again unable to contain himself; I am shocked. Shocked, I say!

Well done Seattle! Wonder what Holmgren and Mora Jr. are thinking this morning...

You are right. I was unsure whether to include them but felt no one would pay attention if I said only the Patriots could make the NFC Championship game if they moved from the AFC.

When something like this happens in a college conference everyone says just the opposite. You hear things like "just goes to show how good this conference is" or "just goes to show how deep this conference is" or "that's why being in this conference is so tough". At least that's the spin you hear from the likes of the SEC and Big 10 after such a result.

Four of the Seahawks seven wins came against fellow dregs known as NFC West teams.

You lost to Denver 31-14??

You were outscored 112 - 54 in three games before your home game NFC West Division Championship game against the Rams the final week of the season?? Really?
