I for one thought it was a bargain, as did many on this forum... But as outside fans looked in, they thought we were all crazy for giving this kid that much money... T.T. gets the last laugh on the national media once again

“He’s 100 percent legitimate. Sure, it helps having [Charles] Woodson on the other side"

Charles Woodson is a shut down corner. All the media types tell me so. They are also the same people who voted for the 'all NFL' team.

What a guy! What a Packer People! There isn't anyone on the roster that I don't like from a character point of view.

Are you kidding! He totally screwed us by not keeping Wahle and Rivera!

I had to try writing that to see what it feels like to actually hold that position. I don't have a good enough imagination to get all the way there, though.

The difference is that (Al) Harris’ style didn’t work when the Packers made the conversion to a 3-4 defense

Really?

“He’s 100 percent legitimate. Sure, it helps having [Charles] Woodson on the other side – that was kind of the case when they had Al Harris(notes),” the GM continued. “Now I think it’s the other way. Because Williams is so good, Woodson is the one who has more freedom than ever because you can do so many things.”

In other words, Al was holding this defense back, just as some of us suspected. Well, him and Bigby, but the later is a given.

Yeah, I wasn't too keen on the Al Harris Bashing. I thought he transitioned to the 3-4 scheme just fine.

Maybe so, but 'just fine' doesn't win championships. :)

TRAAAAAAMON!

I've been yelling that a lot this year.

Really?

Al was fine in the scheme. AH's injury allowed TW to start earning the huge contract.

TT rewards consistent performance.

Oh! Don't get me wrong, Williams is a huuuge upgrade from Al Harris. I just think at the time, Harris was still good and we didn't have Sam Shields as a nickel back, so instead of having Al Harris gone and Jarret Bush as our nickel, I'm glad we kept Tramon back a year.
