View Full Version : Steelers or Jets...who do you want to play?

I'm hoping the Jets win. I live in NJ so I know tons of Jet fans ,but the most important thing to me is the quarterback play. Roethlisburger or Sanchez is not even a question...Roethlisburger is light years ahead of Sanchez. Also, Jets need to blitz to get pressure and I think that's favorable for us, especially if we spread them out.

Jets

Severe mismatch at QB. Already shut them out on their home field.

Either way, I think Packers are favored.

very tough call

big ben has been there before, so his experience scares me. but the jets IMO are a faster team

i've said all year we're almost built to be a warm weather indoor team rather then a cold weather team.

either way i think we have an advantage over either team playing in dallas in nice weather (see atlanta game)

I want the team that shows up!

The Jets. I hate Rapefulberger (But, I'm not bitter) and the Jets cut Bert (Even though this meant he was free to go to the Vikes and trounce the Pack twice that year). I also love Ryan's passion and I admire Sanchez' chuzpa having to play in that town and being called the weakness for so long.

Jets w/o question cuz I want the team that GB stands the best chance of beating

I like the Steelers because it offers a classic matchup between two of the most storied franchises in the NFL.

Steelers. First of all, I don't want to have to listen to Rex Ryan for 2 weeks. In addition, the team with the most NFL titles versus the team with the most Lombardi trophies. Two cities that completely identify with their football teams.

Doesn't matter. I was scared of the Bears. I'm not scared of either team left in the AFC.

What's the matter with you people? We just beat the Eagles, Falcons and Bears on the road and you're afraid to play the Steelers on a neutral field?

Yes. I hate Roethlisburger almost as much as Vick. I don't want him there and the fact that the Jest would be easier to beat makes it a no-brainer for me.

Wasn't that what we were supposed to be treated to today???

Wasn't that what we were supposed to be treated to today???

I kind of thought it was. The Bears defense had a lot to say about why we didn't score one fucking offensive point in the last 40 minutes of the game.

Jets looks lost, lost I say, on offense. We'll be playing the Steelers.

gbgary
01-23-2011, 06:55 PM
jets would probably be the better matchup for the Packers but i can't stand ryan. steelers are likeable especially their coach...a lot less trash taking and bs with the steelers too. i'll have to go jets though. they're playing now but i haven't even looked at the game yet.

Sanchez couldn't throw a rock in the ocean from the beach. That's why I would like a Packers-Jets matchup. But the Steelers can be had.

I dont think anyone is scared of the steelers, just the jets are a more favorable matchup. Looks like it doesnt even matter anymore because its already 17-0 steelers though..bring em on

Deputy Nutz

Ryan would try and make the SB about himself. I hated it when Parcels did that in 1996. Steelers and Packers, just fucking hard nose football. The way the game was meant to be played

If this team could find a way to beat the Steelers then this team can be considered a pretty freaking great team.

The Steelers are the Bears with a better offense.

Sanchez sucks dick. He always has. Most over-rated QB in the league. Well, maybe that's Cutler. Maybe not. I hate them both.

I rarely say I want one team over another because sometimes you get what you wish for...and its not good.

But damn teh Steelers look unstoppable. Scary scary team w/ a ton of experience.

I like Sanchez. he's just in his 2nd season and has WON playoff games on the road. Its not easy and he's been big when it counted in those games. He's just not good enough yet to get past the AFC title game. Don't help when his O-line won't block anyone.

Looks like it's the Steelers.....thank god the SB won't be played in the New Medowlands this year. :)

We should be able to hang with the Steelers inside the Jerry Dome.

24-0 now.

I would've said the Jets - just don't seem as strong a team, and their D, after the first 2 CB's, don't worry me. Not relevant though, Pitt it is.

Pouncey getting hurt his a huge ding to their offensive line. I doesn't look like he would be ready in two weeks, and their offensive line has been beat up all year, but Mendanhall is still running all over the place.

Funny how Capers and Dick LeBeau come from the same coaching tree.

Then Cotchery with a nice route on a well designed play (Steeler DBs picked each other) for the TD.

Rothlisberger is scary. The Steelers D is scary. It's going to take a really good game, but we can beat these guys. I'm guessing the Steelers will be 2 point favorites.

Especially when he's in a college bar with bodyguards looking for female opportunities. Very scary.
