Denton is a great town with a killer music school! I was a Jazz Performance major at what was then known as North Texas State University about a hundred years ago! (Now it's The University of North Texas.) That's pretty cool that Weather Report is playing there. I saw them at the Agora Ballroom in Dallas when I was in school! (I know, I know...bad joke....it was just the first thing that immediately came to mind when I saw the thread title!)

The roof is scheduled to be closed no matter what the weather is like Sunday. Ice and snow could make travel around Dallas a bitch though. I spent a week in the DFW area 2 winters ago and things were a crawl with the very little ice there was.

Oh ya... if it's anything like Atlanta is with even RAIN, let alone ice, then it's going to be a nightmare.

CALLING ALL PACKERS FANS

The Greater Green Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau has been challenged by the Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau to prove we have more fans than they do. We know that Packers Fans are all over the country, and we need your help to reach out to them.

Both CVBs have put together a contest that not only counts the number of fans we have, but there's an awesome prize... (2 Packers tickets for next season's opening game, hotel and dinner). We'll draw a winner after the Super Bowl.

The Packers Nation contest is located at www.greenbay.com . Click on Packers Nation Ticket Giveaway and enter!

Please share this with all your friends. Help us prove that Packers Fans are the best Super Bowl fans!

it's gotten so bad for us (with nothing really going on between games) that it's come down to rocky horror vids, music venue rememberances, weather reports, on-line contests, and sister/wife/girlfriend hotness inquires. man, i wish the game was tonight.

GO PACK!!

Who cares right? Inside the conditions will be perfect. Just wait until 2014? when the SuperBowl will be played in NJ with no roof! Considering all the snow they have had over the past two years, that could get messy...

Are they talking about that again?

Does making that exception open the door for a GB (or Buffalo???) Super Bowl?

The NFL already came down against it saying that GB does not have sufficient resources for a SB. Meaning they don't have enough strip clubs and brothels to handle the crowds. Dallas put out a call for a thousand extra strippers, where would you put them in GB??

...one in 1,900 Green Bay residents is a Packers' fan...

How can that be? What is the definition? Less than 60% of the population of Green Bay being a fan would astonish me, much less "one in 1,900."

I think he meant 'player' instead of 'fan'.

Not sure why it's been up for days without correction.

I think its a done deal, the super bowl will be played in the NJ in either 2013 or 2014. Reward for Jets/Giants for building a new stadium, but it has no roof and that part of the country can get lots of snow and cold weather in early February. Can you imagine the faux fans who actually can afford to go to a SB showng up during a snowstorm? in 15 degree weather?
Green Bay was ruled out by someone in the NFL league office simply because the city does not have the infrastructure (including strip clubs) to accommodate the masses.

Back to the subject...I live just to the west of FW and work in FW and the weather has shut this place down. They can't handle this. I think every school in the DFW area is closed again today. They don't salt the road so it's all still ice.

Not a lot of snow at all, the problem is that it was 60 and raining on Monday before it turned cold. Rain-sleet-snow. Now it's 8 degrees with a stiff wind. Apparently cowboys (and their horses) don't care for the ice or cold weather much.
