You know what's funny? Pre-season I was thinking SuperBowl or Bust and laughed at Finley and Barnett for their t-shirts/websites/etc - because that's generally bad kharma.... and it was (and wasn't).

I've never been more proud of a team/year. These guys have overcome some crazy losses! The stats are all there - the chemistry and feel are there - but yet we lose on a fumble to Chicago, back-back OT games by a FG, late FG at ATL. You know the story.

And week 1 - lose Grant - followed by Finley, Burnett, Neal, etc. etc... and that's after losing Jolly to a trumpted up drug charge. Think about those games where we had 2 real DTs... had to convert DEs to DT, had to go pick the scrap heap for BIG Green. And then our OLB - we're down to 5th stringer - Erik Walden... and I had to text you guys to say - who the fuck is that! And he goes and has one of the best games I've ever seen from a LB.

The stars are still making plays. The coaches have the players in the right frame of mind. We had to win 5 playoff games to get here - that's a streak that doesn't happen but every decade or so - leaguewide.

And then to beat the Bears in the NFCC is icing. I just hope we don't settle for making the SuperBowl and are hungry enough to dominate the game. Really - that's my only concern.

I'll be happy with a clean game, refs keeping the flags in their pockets, a big 2nd/3rd Quarter and minimizing the huge mistakes that cost the Jets vs. the Steelers.



In looking at the Pack's SuperBowl history - we're 3-0 when scoring in the 30s (and 0-1 when we didn't).

What an incredible victory tonight! I will always appreciate Brett Favre's incredible legacy in Green Bay, but tonight is about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers doing something very special. Aaron has the same number of Super Bowl victories as Brett now and the sky's the limit for the future (assuming the labor deal gets done this off-season). Aaron even went one better in his performace by leading the way and gaining Super Bowl MVP honors, where Desmond Howard won that honor back in the last Green Bay Super Bowl victory. Aaron won't say it, but the monkey is clearly off his back. Perhaps he needs a new touchdown celebration where he sweeps the monkey off his back. It's not only that Troy was a non factor in terms of impacting the game positively for the steelers, he actually bit hard on a very simple in and then back out on the Jennings TD in the corner. He got burned... bad. He also couldn't make the play on Jennings other TD when he was in the area.

Troy played a pretty bad game. Meanwhile, Matthews batted a pass and forced a fumble. So, who's the real defensive player of the year? Oh, the guy who made an actual impact on the game and is now hoisting the only trophy that matters.

This game is all on the wide receivers. If the receivers don't drop passes (like Atlanta) I see a very similar outcome. Rodgers will be lights out and the defense will be just fine (Pittsburg's offense? please). It all comes down to if the receivers can catch the ball. If they do, blow out win Packers. This won't be as close as most people think.

Had the receivers played better this would have been a blowout. Even with the drops, we were still able to win though!

The motherfucker was perfect nearly every throw but our ass receivers kept dropping pass after pass. All in all, there were probably 5-6 dropped passes. Add those to Rodgers stats and he's roughly 30-39 400+ yards 4+ TD's. And you guys wanna say Rodgers was off in the game at all? Come on. I also don't get the MM hate. Well made point, but things were looking bad.

Whether it was playcalling, bad throws, drops, penalties, etc, the game went from an 18pt lead to a 1 score, 4 point lead. There was a graphic saying that we'd punted on 4 straight possessions. Three of them were 3 and outs, on the 4th we got a single 1st down. On those 4 series, we netted 16 total yards of offense. I don't think anyone was too comfortable!

He had two throws that were behind receivers. I thought he was spending too much time setting up to dodge rushers in the pocket.
