I could be completely off here, Pugger, but I have a hunch that rbaloha is siding with the players that are slaves of the system. Clearly, Grant has been influenced by the wicked white owners.....

Yes - click on the name of the poster, go to their page and you can select to put them on your ignore list. It only works if you are logged in. It's great - you can avoid seeing everything except what others quote from posters you find offensive, annoying, or inconsequential. But of course, you'll never see this!

I wish I knew the cumulative totals: "This post has been ignored 3,254 times."

It would give me something to shoot for.

If this is the case I feel sorry for rbaloha. I thought this was a nice story about a decent fellow who happens to play for my favorite team. Good lord, what Grant is doing has NOTHING to do with the owners or the CBA. Geez!! :???:

I remember this story from earlier in the season when Grant went to visit him. Nice that he did this because not only is the kid remembered, but at the same time, other kids get help realizing their futures so the benefits can last for decades.

Thanks for the link, Pugger.

I don't know how prominently Ryan Grant will figure in the Packers' future but it's obvious that he's a quality person and a positive influence on others. Pro sports needs a lot more like Ryan Grant.

This is a quote fr. the article:

"Ask him if he'll bring the Lombardi Trophy," said Catholic Central senior Zach Guilliams.

Now that the NFL players are locked out or this is 'in fact' in contention through the court system...:

Do Packer players have access to the Lombardi Trophy' under the existing squabble?

Is the Lombardi Trophy owned by the NFL as a whole or just by the NFL owners?

GO PACKERS !

Woody-

I don't think that players have access to the Lombardi trophy in the offseason under normal conditions. After the initial celebration when it's handed around and everybody gets to take their picture with it, I think it pretty much goes in the team's trophy case where players can go look at it just like everybody else: under glass.

It's not like the Stanley Cup, where everybody gets to take it home for a day. Remember, they make a new Lombardi trophy every year, the winning team gets to keep it forever.
