Big John Clay is still out there.
You mean he's STILL running his 40?

I hope he sounds like Elmore James.
you got that right!!

The Rams selected Mikhail Baker and he didn't have a position or a football grade listed on ESPN. Do they plan on using him on the dance team?

Another TE. Special Teams have no excuses this year.
Packers (From Jaguars through Dolphins) Taylor, Ryan TE -- -- North Carolina

Taylor, Ryan...we got that tightend we've been needing

Another TE? Man, it would have been nice to roll the dice on Noel Devine!

NFL.com has him as a DB. So, maybe (would be a definite yes if he was a WR)?

Sherrod, Cobb and Green are exciting.
House and Williams have a decent shot
The rest is a pile of poo that you throw against the wall and hope some sticks.

Another TE?! Wow.
Hoping Packers would draft Herzlich , OLB out of BC. I know the titanium rod in his leg and the cancer thing are huge red flags. But this kid can play.

TT: Damn! The best player available is another tight end!

Is Ted ramping up in case Finley blows up?

And...he's a tight end.
You have to wonder if TT and MM are cooking up a five tight-end formation.

Wonder what the all-time NFL record is for most TE's on a roster?

Another TE?! Wow.
He was announced as a fullback, so presumably he will not be a TE in Green Bay.
Entirely possible that next year:
TE: Finley, Quarless, Williams, Crabtree
FB: Quinn, Ryan
RB: Grant, Starks, Green.
That's one less TE/RB/FB than we carried last year.

That would definitely create some interesting matchups.

Ted has obviously given up every possible pretense of pandering to the fan base.

That doesn't look too bad. And having an H back will be great as ARod tries to survive the Detroit Lion's D-line.

It's another reach for need. Ted is desperatley trying to replace Havner at the Frankenbacker position. We're thin there.

Espn has Taylor credited with 37 tackles and 36 receptions for his college career.

I think you have nailed it exactly. From the JSO blog post:
Played reserve linebacker his first two seasons, earning special teams captain honors his junior season.Missed all of 2009 with a knee injury, then came back and played H-back in 2010 and set the UNC single-season record for most receptions by a tight end with 36.

Now that's depth right there. The Packers just drafted their 2nd string Frankenbacker.

DT Lawrence Guy
You read what they say about this kid and he could make the team and become a starter some day.
He has Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia. According to Guy he has been controlling the ADD by taking pills from a bottle of nilatiR.

I'm wondering if "7th round Developmental 5-tech" is going to be a mainstay of the TT draft from here on out, like the "Round 4-6 OL".

All these offensive players - I think we are going to see some crazy stuff this season! With a QB that at this point understands every nuance of the offense, I think that we are going to be doing some things that will make opposing Def's mind boggle. This should be good.

Ted Thompson is a cold-blooded assassin. If you don't play at a really high level, he's going to draft a younger and cheaper guy who's better than you.

Exactly as it should be, otherwise you end up with aging veterans sucking all your financial resources while they underperform.

Oh crap I did! You can add him to the list. I think the Vikings have an LB named E.J. Henderson or something like that, so the modern day "E.J's" are out there.
