some of you might have read and remember the story from awhile back

http://packersnews.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20110525/PKR07/110525208/Unofficial-caretaker-Gary-Martin-New-Jersey-tends-Vince-Lombardi-s-grave-purely-out-respect

turns out nobody was really taking care of the grave of the single greatest coach that ever lived and the man that made the packers what they still are today.

i think it would really be nice if the team could find some way to get involved. IMO the guy should have his own cemetary with a giant pyramid type of monument built for him . a place where people could go and pay their respects

i'm thinking maybe a 750 foot version of the bronze statue outside lambeau field. put it on a 250 foot tall mausoleum that hold vince's remains . you put this in the south endzone with vince looking down into the stadium

The Lombardi family disputes the notion that the gravesite had been abandoned. http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20110609/PKR01/110609123/1058/pkr01/Lombardi-family-We-never-abandoned-Vince-s-gravesite

They show before and after pictures of the gravesite. While there was a flowering bush in front of the site that was allowed to grow too high, it doesn't appear the gravesite was totally abandoned. The family did thank Martin in the letter for the work he has done to the site.
