That's the Twitter rumble right now..Trying to find a solid source..

There has been that talk down here all spring. He would be their 1 - no question about it.

That's what I'd call a win/win.

I don't think this has legs, but we'll see..

It's bogus - at least the twitter stuff. Check the link that's with the tweet.

Here's what the guy who started the Jones-to-Bears tweetfest says...

@Tony_Wilson_26 Ha - more people believed that than I thought. Not enough actually clicked the link apparently :)

Still, it would make some sense. And Cullen Jenkins, too, right?

Bears are interested in Babin from Tennessee I have read. So, yea, presumably, they are interested in more D-Line help.

Oh, that's right. It's Minny who's always interested in Packer leftovers.

Why would the Bears want him? They have seen first hand on how inconsistent his play is.

The Vikings apparently agreed to terms with Devin Aromashodu today, formerly of the Bears.

Apparently in order to afford McNabb, they will be going with the Bears former #3 WR, rather than the Packers former #3 WR.

Rodgers has called getting Jones back the #1 priority. Now, he's not TT, but now we know where he stands.

Rodgers will be saying "who James Jones?" after he starts throwing to Randall Cobb.

I know I'm not TT, but when I consider the future of the Packers, it doesn't include James Jones. I think we have a great receiver in Jennings, a solid receiver in the twilight of his career, Driver. Driver will be done after this year, is my prediction. I think Nelson was the beneficiary of having a huge game on the biggest stage during the Super Bowl. He was being defended by a 3rd or 4th string d-back. I think he's good, but overrated. I think Cobb has the potential to be our #2 very quickly. He's going to have the chance to catch a lot of balls this year.

Hopefully he goes to the Bears and fumbles a few back to us...

Sounds like cornerbacks are the early hot commodity in free agency.

I'd imagine defensive linemen will be next. Cullen Jenkins, stay by your phone, buddy.

The bears...the very team JJ had his fumble problems against would be the ironic pick.

I am curious though. If Jordy was being guarded by the #3 and 4 CB's....I presume Jennings had the #1, who was guarded by the 2??

Ladies and Gentleman, here is how you start a rumor (Pat Devlin in this case)

Yea a few of us got Rick rolled..lol..Anyhow, Jones to the Bears wouldn't surprise me at all. Or Minny like you guys said. Nick Barnett to the Vikings wouldn't completely shock me either.

I expected Jordy Nelson to pass James Jones on the depth chart last year. Maybe he has. But despite Jones' spectacular drops, I think he is a quality reciever overall, and will be upset if he winds up on an NFC north team.

He (Jordy) was guarded by 3's and 4's because Ike Taylor got hurt and hardly played (if at all). Bryant McFadden was their "#1" once Taylor left.

Driver is our 2 although honestly we lose Jones and gain Finley and Cobb so collectively that should be an upgrade

I had a love/hate with Jones. If he goes to the Bears, that would be ironic. I won't be heartbroken.

Jones was just traded to the Argonauts.
