Signed a 2 yr./$4.5 mil deal according to Adam Schefter.

I guess we really didn't want him back.

I don't think he wanted to come back. He could see the writing on the wall here.

Wow that is a really affordable contract. I really wish we could have brought him back at that price.

He wanted a chance to be a featured back. I don't know why he thinks he is going to get that opportunity in Cleveland. The Madden Curse perhaps?

I'm hoping Green is an upgrade... his measurables are certainly an upgrade.

I remember Jackson blowing the screen play against the Giants in GB in the NFC Title Game in qtr 4 when he should have avoided a DL who blew up our OL. Jackson still found a way to run into him on what I felt should have been a TD

I loved to hate B-Jack. He showed some flash...but never amounted to anything. Hopefully he'll have a good career in Cleveland. I'm on the Starks train.

Horrible player.

He really did make some plays, though, too - usually catching screens. He was a good third down guy to have around, but do you want to pay a third-down back two mill a year? Is that the going rate?

incredibly reliable as a 3rd round back picking up the blitz
overall he was decent, but IMO not something we miss that much

Colledge maybe
Jones perhaps
Jenkins we will miss

Horrible player.

With the notable exception of Adrian Peterson, the 2007 NFL Draft was not a good group of running backs.

RBs drafted in 2007 in order: Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, Kenny Irons, Chris Henry, Brandon Jackson, Lorenzo Booker, Tony Hunt, Garrett Wolfe, Michael Bush, Antonio Pittman, Dwayne Wright, Kolby Smith, Thomas Clayton, Justise Hairston, DeShawn Wynn, Nate Ilaoa, Kenneth Darby, Ahmad Bradshaw.

Other than Peterson, only two guys to turn out well from that group was Michael Bush (who was coming off a really bad broken leg) and Ahmad Bradshaw (who was picked #250). Pierre Thomas was undrafted that year, and he's not bad though.

Good move for Cleveland...gets Madden cover boy a chance to get off the field on 3rd down now.

This decision was made by Jackson a long time ago. He's a very good pass receiver, blitz blocker, open field runner, and the guy lost 0 fumbles last year. Maybe Green will be a featured back someday, but for the near term the team has been weakened by the loss of BJ.

Cleveland has Peyton Hillis, a good back. I doubt Jackson will beat him out, but you can't fault BJ for pursuing his dream. BJ had zero chance to move past Gant or STarks in GB.

Agree 100%. Though I think they overpaid for this guy.

You remember a play from his rookie year. I remember all the guys who would have killed ARod if he didn't make his block.

Horrible player.

He was a limited player, but horrible??? Get a clue.

Harrell was just saying that to rile people up. Obviously a flawed, but useful player.

My favorite BJack highlight was him juking Urlacher out of his shoes, causing Brian to fall down. I believe that was from the week 17 game against them in GB.

Great play indeed!

He was a fantastic blocking back and I can't remember him blowing a blocking assignment. He'll be missed for that.
