its going to be complete for the 2013 season

no tax payer dollars will be used, they're gonna fund it through bonds, and maybe another stock sale

they decided on the plan i wanted the whole time. 6,600 new seats in the south endzone. steep seats, as the team says, it should make a wall of sound

and it looks damn cool

My understanding is that most of those seats, except the standing room only section, are more expensive than the seats in the original bowl closer to the field, but they obviously come with more amenities too.

I bet drunk people will plummet from that upper deck real easy, but the fat folk in the lower seats should be able to cushion the fall.

like seat backs. I heard they are chairs and not bleachers.

I don't like the new addition. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the stadium. those should have been suites or club seats (even though sitting in the club seats suck, IMO). At least it wouldn't look out of place. its not as bad as the space ship that landed inside of solder field, but its along the same lines.

I don't know about that...but I do in a way agree. The thing is they have useable $$$ sitting there so they need to do something, and something different than before the renovation. I've said forever a hotel overlooking the field would be a goldmine along with more club seating or something.

I had all the 'intimacy' I could stand a couple years ago wedged between a 400lb hooger woman who seemed to be eating constantly and a loud whiskey drunk with horrible breath.

And that was just in the car ride up to the game...

Actually I've figured out it's the way the levels are stacked that I don't like. It doesn't work with any of the rest of the stadium. But I like the way the bowl is now. I think ND's idea could work.

it's probably happening down the road
it's part of the way they intend to fund the addition though so very likely it will occur in the next year
