weekend against the Falcons. This game may show what kind of improvement the OL can make, because the Falcons will show one of the best pass rushes of any team in the NFL this year, with Kerney and Abraham at DE's and Coleman at one of the tackles.

The only difference, though, is Atlanta's run defense is poor. If GB cannot show a major improvement in the run game this weekend, this could be an early warning sign of things to come. We'll see how this plays out.

Don't expect it to look good this week, and don't expect that to be indicative of the rest of the year...

A new o-line with a new scheme in the second pre-season game of the year against one of the best pass rushing d-lines in the league? Add it up.

It spells problems for this game, but it will be another learning opportunity and one that will again help us prepare for the regular season. And even if the Falcons are weak against the run, right now, the Packers are weak running the ball with the new scheme.

Lombardi once said, "The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall."

This team has the makeup to learn from its early challenges and and rise to success. It will get better, but don't look for it to get better this early against the Falcon's veteran defense this early in the preseason...

And don't ride an emotional roller coaster with each pre-season game. There's way too much for the coaches and players to implement and practice.

It's a long season and the Pack has not even approached peak performance. Give it some time and roll with the punches in the pre-season. There will be plenty of them.
