Everybody pretty excited about this one?

Hoping to see some solid play from the backup OT's. Sherrod should get plenty of snaps at LT, and I imagine Newhouse will get time at both LT and RT.

Should get our best look at Alex Green. So far the biggest impression he's made is on a screen pass. Would like to see some more runs from scrimmage.

Gurley and West continue their quest to convince TT to keep 6 WR's.

So'oto can probably lock up a spot with another strong outing.

Pat Lee may need a strong outing to lock up a roster spot.

that was a very impressive sack

it just scares the hell out of me that we are relying in any way on bush playing a larger role on defense. he will single handedly cost us games this year. on so'oto's sack bush had his guy in a bear hug, for no reason. could have easily been defensive holding

Biggest missing part of Colledge? Might be intelligence. Cliffy and Lang look like they are playing two different systems.

Nice blocking on rt side by Quarless and Bulaga for Grant run.

Crabtree is no worse than 3rd TE. He is sticking.

O line communication in general is bad. Might be missing Brandon Jackson too.

Honestly I've never ever thought Flynn would bring anything above a 3

I don't understand some of the Flynn hype. He has never looked as good in preseason as Rodgers and we used to complain about how Rodgers didn't even look as good as Hasselback. He played a great game versus Belichicks but still had some boneheaded plays with the ones.

Kolb started seven games and played in 17. Experience and tape are on his side.

The problem with the comparison is that the Cards were deperate so they could keep Fitzgerald. If you find the right, panicky partner (see Pete Carroll and Charlie Whitehurst) anything is possible.

But the Packers haven't even shopped him and the opportunity for a big draft pick is gone.

So'oto this years Sam Shields?

Looks like it. Someone mentioned this too.

One bright spot? Jay Ross has moved the pile a few times. One play he so overpowered the center that there was a hole for the back where Ross had cleared out the O lineman.

A few. McCluster and an O lineman or two.

It's actually pretty pathetic they're behind considering how much more they've played their starters.

Breaston and Bowe still in there. They were playing most of their starters (sans Cassel who tweaked his shoulder) and Moeaki (who tweaked his knee) well into the 3rd quarter.

To be fair, the Pack's 2nd string could probably get 2nd in the AFC West.

We must remember So'oto's preseason (and Shields and Williams) the next time someone complains about veteran depth.

Which is the current talking point about the O line. "Oh, if only we had Spitz!" who played so bad in the Detroit game he was replaced by the third string Lang.

How about Vic So’ fucking oto – looks like a great find. His weakness is dropping back into coverage. It sure didn’t look like it on that pick-6. How does Ted do it?

Cardia Jackson was really active. I wouldn’t be the least bit upset if he makes the squad. Lattimore too, although he's in no man's land at 225 lbs. I think he'll get to the PS and get him on the protein.

There’s work to do at the bottom of the o-line. I think they’ll keep 9 guys because they need EDS but won’t, nor should, give up on McDonald. No one else is good enough yet to make the team.

M.D. Jennings looks pretty good. Levine hasn’t played but looked good early. Underwood can play corner if necessary. Not sure what they’ll do at safety.

House being hurt really sucks. I don’t want Gordy, Lee or any of the other guys below them at CB. Hell I don’t want Bush to play CB, but it looks like he’s going at times this year. This could be a spot they have someone scouted to go after or pick-up from somewhere else.

Graham Harrell has to be better handling the ball or he’ll never play.

Crabtree, West or Gurley – Any of them look good to me. Gurley’s shown more football ability than I saw early on. Not many slender long receivers are good at much more than catching the ball. Gurley looks like he could actually be a football player.

QB (3):.Rodgers, Flynn, Harrell
RB (4): Starks, Grant, Green, Kuhn
TE (5): Finley, Quarless, Williams, Taylor, Crabtree
WR (5): Jennings, Cobb, Driver, Nelson, Jones
OL (9): Clifton, Lang, Wells, Sitton, Bulaga, Sherrod, Newhouse, EDS, McDonald

DL (6): Raji, Pickett, Neal, Green, Wilson, Wynn
OLB (5): Matthews, Walden, Zombo, So’oto, Jones
ILB (4): Hawk, Bishop, Smith, Francois
CB (5): Woodson, Williams, Shields, Bush, Lee
S (4): Collins, Burnett, Peprah, Underwood

ST (3): Crosby, Masthay, Goode

PS (8): Doc Jennings, Gurley, Guy, Lattimore, Borel, Gordy, Dominguez, Schlauderaff, Cardia Jackson, Taylor

IR: House

Vince, you think West is released? 5TE's, and 4 RB's including the full back. That would take balls to do. I think they carry 4 OLB's (Jones is gone or Zombo is IR'd) and another RB.

I agree with House going to the IR.

I don't think you can put House on IR unless that ankle turns out to be much, much worse than it originally appears (I mean, he walked off the field.)

I like Vince's 53, but I cut McDonald and keep House unless that ankle turns out to be broken.

8 OL doesn't sound like much, but you can stash Schlauderaff or Dominguez on the PS and bring them up if you really need to. The 9th OL wouldn't be a game day active anyway.

Tough to argue that. I assumed House re-aggravated the hammy. I'd cut Lee to make room for House.

Another reason to keep starters out in the 4th preseason game: Tony Moeaki was put on IR by the Chiefs with a torn ACL.
