Packers 27 Saints 24

Should be interesting to see how the 2 DC's try to attack the opposing QB's. Rodgers and Brees can both burn you if you blitz and don't get there, but you can't let them get comfortable either. Packers had some problems with blitz pickups in the preseason, so that will bear watching.

Man.....you know NO is going to come after Rodgers. Expect to see some late hits/roughing the passer stuff. It's going to be a tough one.....

Packers 17

Here's why:

1. The Packers, under MM, always seem to start the season slow. The offense was out of sync during the preseaon, except for a couple no-huddle drives, and the o-line was a mess. I think they will gel, eventually, but the Saints will take advantage on Thursday night.

2. Who has the better ground game? Right now, I'd have to say the Saints. I think the Saints will be able to run outside on us all day with Sproles. Then bang it inside with Ingram just to keep us honest. Watch the Chief's game, even the starters couldn't contain the outside runs.

3. Special teams. I just don't trust Crosby in big moments. I think the Saints will evenutally pull away but if it is close, Crosby has the bad habit of choking in big moments.

4. Ryan Grant. He hasn't seen action in a year and usually has a case of the fumbles early. I see him putting the ball on the ground at least once.

5. Pass rush. Now So'oto is out and Clay is the only pass rusher of note. Yeah, we can blitz but Brees will kill us if we do it all game. Who else is going to get there if Clay is double teamed? I see Brees having all day to throw.

I hope I am wrong, I really do. And I love this team and think they will be good, but MM's Packers always get hot late in the year. I just see us stumbling out of the gate on this one.

BTW-I am in Green Bay now and I have NEVER seen so much prep going on for a game. And I have been to every game in GB over the past 6 years. This place is going to be a mad house. God I hope the Pack wins.

So'oto would have been lucky to play special teams this week.

The Chiefs game? The starters, which did not include Matthews, Woodson, Hawk or Collins, played one series. On that series, the Chiefs ran 2 times for 4 yards.

Who knows, both teams are very similar. I guess I'll say Packers 31-20.

Hey, hey, let's not get crazy here. Maybe just put him out of the game with a noogie or something.

All I have to say is thank god it's at Lambeau and not NOLA.

Packers win a close game with the offenses dominating. Maybe 38-34.

An interview with McCarthy worth reading:

56-3 Pack in an easy one as BJ and Neal meet at Brees and he misses the rest of the game.

GB defense > NO defense
That is all that matters.
Packers 37, Saints 27

For those who think the Saints are so great, just flashback to the *cough, cough* Seattle Seahawks carving up their defense in the playoffs last year. I think we'll see some drives stall in the red zone though.

Nutz isn't a Packer hater. He is just an enlightened fan that has rationale that us disillusioned Packer fanatics don't have.

Pretty close. It would help if those F*ing officials would learn how to spot a ball and call DPI properly.
