I did a little reading on a Detroit Lions fan site, and here's the bottom line from the Detroit fans:

1. The predictions are from 8 - 8 to 12 - 4.

2. BJ Raji is way overrated.

3. The Lions' front seven is so good they'll neutralize Rodgers and make their own defensive backfield look good.

4. The Packers didn't look good against the Saints, excpet for the first half offense, and about that...see #3 above

Also, the announces claimed IND was motivated by the number of people who were disrespecting them by claiming they would only win one or two games this season without Manning. From the looks of Collins and the defense, that number may have been inflated. The Colts will be lucky to come close to winning one game this season.

I went everywhere with this. First, Bert Jones, then Bert from Sesame Street, then I saw the score and thought Favre.

There will be a number of AFC South teams who will happily revenge themselves on the Colts this year while he is out. I doubt there will be much call for burning the clock.

Falcons might be slightly overrated so far, 28 minutes in. And the Bears are no fluke.

Vick isnt going to last the season running around the way he is. Problem is if he doesnt they would be losing right now. Having a rookie C must not help either.

There's some serious playoff loss hangover going on. I didn't think the Steelers or Falcons did much to address their vulnerabilities on defense, so you can see them getting their asses kicked. Chiefs - you all saw that last preseason game - there's something wrong there, where a coach has his starters go so long in a preseason game. Maybe the Chiefs needed the conditioning, or maybe you have a coach making a very bad move. I think the latter.

Corey Bradford? Is he still in the league?

Welcome to the NFC North, everybody. Damn, the Lions look tough. Or the Bucs look sucky. I'm not sure which or if it's both.

The Pack needs to get that defense straightened out and the special teams coverage units. You can talk all you want about how good the Saints' offense is, but the Leos look deadly right now and if Stafford stays heatlhy, there will be no margin for error against that team. Slocum needs to get it all cleaned up in his unit, and Capers needs to figure out how to shore up that D.

One website, CHFF or Pro Foootball Focus or something like that, made the case last year that the Falcons, specifically Ryan, were not all they were cracked up to be.

Most of the advanced football metrics were down on last year's Falcons team. They more or less an average team that caught a bunch of lucky breaks, you can't necessarily replicate that from year to year.

Remember, the NFC South feasted on a bunch of easy games last year. Each of the three teams in that division last year had a combined 10 games against the NFC West, Browns, Bengals, and Panthers. It's not hard to win double-digits with that schedule.

Every team with a top 15 quarterback should be chucking it on them. Cutler's throwing into some pretty big holes out there.

Also, the birds turned it over a couple of times. They made a lot of hay last year "taking care of the football", whether that was luck or not I don't know but they look sloppy with the ball today.

Call and tell them so... I got $30.00 per month, for the next 6 months, off the cost of "the ticket", I got my Direct TV package upgraded with 56 additional channels (decent channels- not basket weaving channels) at not only no charge, but my bill reduced by $15.00 per month for the next year, I can get "the ticket" on my phone for no additional cost ($50.00 value) and two for one movie channels. I like pickles...especially if they're green or gold! Or both, I guess...

I'm going to bed.

My Irish Brothers and Sisters in New York are sending you "mad love"!!! :)

I bet you do [send mad love]; I have some friends that lived in Hoboken (not NY, I know) but it's a cool place too. I spent 3 great weeks at "the dorm" in the summer of 2000. What a blast!

What building was that in the old Dallas series? Maybe the Jets...

Oh, I'm going to catch it for that.

question, has anyone else been outside recently and noticed the moon is a strange dark reddish orange?

Not here, but the moon has risen well past the horizon.

Nice catch by Tomlinson there. He's been a very effective player for the Jets.

Why did SD let him get away? He didn't sign for much (2yrs, $5million?). Did SD think he was done? Did he feel he was treated poorly and didn't want to play for them?

I keep watching this Jets/Cowboys game, and I have no idea who I want to win. Why can't the NFL have a "double-loss" option?

Might be done as feature back. Question is, why let Sproles go?

Wow. Nice INT.

And Al is still calling the sideline chalk. So old fashioned of him.

That was two terrible plays and a fumble for no reason by Romo.

And Colin Cowherd was trying to say Romo is the same type of player as Rodgers...

Jets will never win with Sanchez at QB, the kid just doesn't have it.

Yes, but the ST and Defense does. This game should be over, but Dallas refuses to take it.
