Considering we just lost a tackle longterm, I think this is a good move. Anyone know much about him?

Seemed to be better at Guard than Tackle in the preseason, although he played both at Arkansas. I kind of figured he'd spend the year on the PS, as he seems to be a bit of a project. Maybe he's made a lot of progress since the end of training camp. In a worse case injury situation, I imagine they'd move Lang to Tackle and put Dominguez at Guard.

Looks like Sherrod is your tackle backup and Dietrich Smith your inside backup. That's not too bad, unless we lose 3 more lineman at some point.

I wouldn't be half-surprised if this move was motivated by some other team sniffing around Dominguez. Of all the guys we snuck through waivers onto the PS, Dominguez was the guy I was most surprised went unclaimed.

Dominguez isn't a great athlete, and he's got a pretty sloppy body, but he's got a good initial punch, heavy hands, and he wants to brawl with whoever he's blocking. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him stick on the roster next year as a backup guard. He's basically the player I hoped Schlauderaff would be, except he probably is much less aesthetically pleasing with his shirt off.

Dominguez - I remember another 'sloppy brawler' with a good punch we had at guard. That Rivera guy was pretty good. Let's hope for that out of Dominguez!
