Hester had a return for a TD against Minnesota last night, his second of the season.

What is it about that guy that he's still an effective returner? Seems like most of the really flashy returners have a short shelf life. Dante Hall, for example had 3-4 really good years before fading into the backround, but Hester seems to be going strong 6 season's later.

OTOH he's still a shitty receiver. Dropped a pass on a crossing pattern with no one even near him.

One would think opposing coaches would know by now to tell their kickers not to kick towards him seeing he is all Chicago has. He ain't scary as a WR, that's for sure.

He's also injured according to the headlines this morning. I don't know what it was, just that he was injured in last night's game.

He is very good, but also his coach has good blocking scheme's. Apperently other teams have a thing called special teams, some one should let slocum know about this development.

Patriots and Bears both ran a version of blocking that was interesting to watch. Both teams brought 2 players from wide toward the return side. In the Patriots case, they did this early and essentially formed a 4 man wedge when they linked up.

The Bears sent their two through the proto-wedge to clear a hole or block the next level. As it turned out, only one good block was needed.
