Your explanations keep getting more and more interesting.

3 teams from the NFC North. Worrisome.

3 teams from the NFC North. Worrisome.

Yep, the Bears last year and the Brewers this year found out the problems with a wild card team from their own division in the playoffs.

Giants have a two game lead, not because they are running away with their division, but because the division is running away from them.

SF could clinch the division in 3 weeks. That is a real possibility, not just number crunching, although I think it will probably take 4.

This speaks to the strenght of the NFCN. What is the packers inter div. record since Arod became the starter? I have not seen him struggle in the 'snowing inside' dome and Lovie does not appear to have his number.

Will the members of the 2008 Lions break out the champaign if the Colts and Dolphins each win a game?

Draft order is impossible because the playoff teams get seeded based on playoff outcomes. The Lions and the 49ers cant both be in the final 4 teams if the Packers are SB champs again.

Who'd have predicted the Bills would be positioned thusly at the midway point?

People with gambling problems playing the long shots.

The Falcons and Buccaneers lost to the Bears giving them the supreme tiebreaker. The Bears lost no ground during their bye week.

The Packers are 6-0 in the Conference. 49'ers have 1 Conference loss. The Lions 2 Conference losses.

The NFC pecking order is taking shape. The AFC is more chaotic and could be very different in 2-3 weeks.

Agreed. The Bills keep on keeping on, but I'm not so convinced that team is for real.
KC a division winner? I can't see that happening. They backed into two wins with wins over Minn and Indi. Although they've got 2 division wins, beating Oakland and the Chargers. Maybe I'll have to reconsider.

I think the chaos is somewhat caused by the trainwrecks that Miami, Indi and Denver are this year. Everyone else has more wins than expected because those teams are giving them away.

I hope to see the 49ers, Bills, Raiders, Texans and Lions all in the playoffs. Annual bottom-feeders making the playoffs is something I can enjoy.

I was holding out hope for the Redskins but that team is beyond disfunctional. Houston, SF, Detroit and Oakland all should be favorites to make a playoff appearance.
