Said @GregJennings: "The shin is 100% A-OK. It's actually not the shin. I don't want to get into details. But I'm fine."

Demovsky expects Starks to get an MRI.

Walking around doesn't mean too much. He could well be out for a while. Still better than in crutches and a cast.

Starks injury looked like your garden 1-4 week variety. It didn't look horrible, but bad enough that he won't be back next week. Time to see what Saine has.

"Knee sprain" is M3 code for "something happened to his knee, that's all I will tell you right now"

Replay didn't look good. The announcers had it right (only thing they got right all day) when they said "there's all kinds of things going in directions they shouldn't"

Playing doctor from what you see on tv doesn't get you far though. Who thought Collins getting his melon sat on would be career threatening? We'll find out when we find out.

The same fricking thing happened to Tramon when he got vaulted yesterday and he didn't squish a disc, although I held my breath waiting for him to drop like a hammered cow. After five seconds I figured he was okay.

With Starks, I literally thought he'd snapped his back. That was bad. If all he did was stretch a few ligaments in his knee and can be back in four weeks it will be good news.

That's a depressing thought but very true.

Urlacher thinks the Bears should run the option on offense, Lovie tells him to shut up and work on tackling someone. Hanie works on his 12 step drop/duck under oncoming rushers move.

McCarthy updates:

Newhouse sprained knee, expected to practice/play
Jennings bruised knee, anticipates him practice/play
Starks with knee and ankle sprain is questionable. Tested OK and was better than it looked but sore. Might practice Tuesday

Hard to believe, but sounds like Starks will play.

I'm sure Ryan Grant is thrilled.

Newhouse is going to have to come through big-time. Hell, the whole offensive line will have to.

I hope Newhouse is getting around just fine.
