my gut tells me he might take a year off to refresh

That Eagle Job....if it opens......with the talent there it's a goldmine for a solid coach to walk into.

Kind of the opposite of the Jaguars

He's always been a character issue; my gut says that is why TT avoided him and we certaily can't blame him for that. He'll play for the Raiders; that is where he belongs

It would be interesting to take guys like JaMarcus Russell and Vince Young.....put them under MM's QBing school and see if our Masterminds could develop these guys. We're still fortunate to have probably the most overqualifed QB coach in the NFL as well

Ya, a real dream job!

Actually, there is a lot there to work with, so I hope they lure Steve Spurrier back to the NFL!

In a league that lives and dies with QB play, getting the guy who can coach the position the best as HC is your best move.

Which is why Reid should stay but be stripped of GM duties. Though, the promotion of his O line coach to D coordinator was not the best decision.

Good, but I hope the Vikings win. I'm more than sick of Tebow already, and I want MN to at least drop out of the top 5 in the draft.

ponder fumbles as minn is in the redzone and now throws a pick six to give den the lead. tebow with a lead...impossible for minn.

pbmax
12-04-2011, 12:55 PM
Newsflash: Denver is a solid team. Tebow may be a completely below average passer, but his running threat makes the Denver running game dangerous.

If he ever learns to be a competent passer, that offense would be unstoppable. But the temptation will be to stay true to what has worked before. Either through bad coaching, indecision or willfulness, he has not improved his passing in his 2 years in the NFL. He can throw longer routes, when he can track the receiver, wind up and throw with vision. Like the buddy you ask to be QB in a touch football game.

Touch passing (I would not call a hitch screen a touch pass), throwing to spots and timing are foreign concepts to his game.

A team such as the Jets, with enough defense to stop the run and not give Tebow time, is all that is required to stop the offense now.

Denver scored a TD but it was the defense off an INT and not Tebowmania.

Being able to run and then throw is another problem Tebow might present. I am not sure if he can throw while running, but he can certainly extend a play and just scored a TD on such a play. His WR though, had to make one fantastic move on a Vike defender then plowed through three guys trying to strip the ball rather than tackle him inside the 5.

I'm with Tebow versus Bears & also today in win versus Vikes. It's more of a NFC North thing though but Tebow is helping Broncos win - can't argue with that.

More than likely, but I'm gonna hope someone takes the Saints out like Seattle did last year. Doubt it, but last year proved it can happen.

The Saints are definitely unstoppable... at home. They average 41.6 points per game in their 5 home games. Tonight's game against Detroit is not included in that.

They average 25.6 per game in their 5 road games and all 3 of their losses are on the road, including losses to the Rams and the Bucs. Still good, but what do the Packers average at home? The Packers average 39 points per game in the 5 games at home. (They still average 32.1 points per road game in their 7 road games if you were wondering).

This ref crew calls OPI at a rate never before seen. its not like Burleson is a career offender, he is ordinary but they call any contact by the O with an arm extended. Meanwhile defense is grabbing and elbowing and nothing is called.

Detroit is in full self-destruct.
