Green Bay - Former University of Wisconsin running back P.J. Hill was in Green Bay on Monday for a tryout with the Packers.
Hill, 5 feet 10 inches and 218 pounds, has been out of football since being released by the New Orleans Saints in February.
Hill, who will be 25 next month, wasn't drafted in 2009 after leaving the Badgers a year early. He signed with the Saints, who cut him at the end of training camp but kept him on their practice squad.
In October 2009, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Hill to their active roster. He was inactive for six games and didn't play in another. After being waived, he was signed by Washington to its active roster for the final game.
The Redskins waived Hill in May 2010 and he was claimed by the Saints. In '10 training camp, he suffered a knee injury and was placed on injured reserve in late August.
