Yeah. It was a fun season. Too bad it ended on a comedy of errors.

This. It is what it is. [/cliche]

This should restore hunger in GB. We will still be the dynasty of this decade.

i gotta say. this season seemed like a dream. i was almost waiting for the wheels to fall off at anytime

just had a feeling that if they offense didn't have a huge game every week, then we weren't gonna win

Do any of you think the pall hanging over the team all week had any contributing factor to this sorry performance tonight? When guys are dropping balls and fumbling like this they just were not focused at all. :-(

The drops have been more numerous as the season went on.

I think some of it has to do with Rodgers IMO. The guy seems to want to throw a 90 MPH fastball on EVERY throw. Those fastballs are much easier to catch in September when the ball is a little softer than in January. Rodgers has to develop more touch on some of his passes. If a guy is wide open, there is no reason to throw it with 100% velocity and reduce the chance of a completion by not allowing the receiver to adjust to a slight deviation on the throw.

However, the receivers deserve a lot of blame today. Driver was the only guy who seemed to catch the stuff thrown to him. Everyone else was very poor. Rodgers clearly wasn't on his game either...which pretty much proves that taking week 17 off is a stupid idea if you also have a bye week wrapped up. 2 weeks off leads to a lack of sharpness.

But they are human too. Why else would these guys look so listless and unfocused?

There were some incredibly lousy throws amongst the 8 drops. Even many of the completions were tough balls to catch. He could run just fine though.

Rodgers had some bad throws, true. But EIGHT dropped passes, that's on his receivers. Those 8 drops were not on bad throws.

There is enough blame to go around on the offense and defense. It would have been tough to be the Giants without the mistakes, it just made the game look much worse.
