Those are some great pictures from Super Bowl XXXI. Seeing that picture of Favre celebrating his bomb to Rison almost makes me forgive him for all the garbage he put us through at the end of his career. I forgot he was ever that young and happy to be a packer.

It also reminded me of how darn good that team was. Remember our D-Line? Jones, Dotson, Brown and White. Unstoppable.

Great pics of SB XXXI.

You didn't tell me they had some of SB 32.

The Nightmare Bowl.

Interesting, and frustrating. I thought each of the last two Packer Super Bowl winners was poised to win two in a row. Hopefully this one will make serious threats to win again over the next 5-8 years.

If this year's defense had been just bad, instead of absolutely horrible...!

Interesting how there's not a single Packer draft pick in there.

That was also at the time where free agency was in its infancy. Ron Wolf was the best at pulling people in. Today, it's much more difficult to pick up big name free agents that are at that level of talent.

Maybe God will tell Mario Williams he needs to go to Green Bay.

As an owner, I would greet any thoughtual meeting of this nature. Obviously i don't speak for the other half million or so owners, but me. Shit. God should have a chat with Mario..

I'll see if I can track Tebow down to ask him for a favor.

Man we were certainly knocking on the Super Bowl door before we finally got that one done. Look how important that acquisition of Andre Rison was. Remember how Walden played out last season.

Sometimes it's just one thing that makes a difference or a few tweaks. Fine tuning is important. Always making the team beter. That keeps everyone on the same page whether it's players or coach's. The GM cnnot be asleep or Mr. Nice Guy. It's a full time job.He has to prepare his team to win every game. When we lose the GM has to ensure the problems are identified and fixed ASAP.

otherwise it becomes likie a bad marriage and things left to the side..issues ignored until it's too late...OVER!

And it is incredible how we returned to the SB and lost to the donkeys. :-( I still cannot watch any 'lowlights' of that game.

15 years ago today huh? 15 years ago I figured the Pack would be competitive and get back to the big game a few times. That set the high expectations for all those playoffs runs that ended with crushing losses. I would hate a repeat.

Mike Prior as nickel back. Seemed strange back then, still strange now. Almost as odd as playing nickel more than 50% of the time.

Just wondering......did Andre Rison really throw his SB ring into a river after being let go by the Packers or was he just pleading for attention?

Joemailman had a quote in another thread where Rison confessed to being miffed he and Desmond were not retained (and noted that Desmond left for the love of Al Davis' cash) but that he still had the ring.
