Feel like celebrating offensive statistical dominance? Here is some more fodder.

Rodgers lead the lead in Air Yards/Attempt, which I believe is a record of how far the ball traveled to the point where the receiver caught it. It helps to sift and winnow the QB contribution from his total passing yards. Its not perfect as the author notes that a team that screens could be hurt despite effectiveness and Brady makes a living throwing short to Welker by design.

Rank Name Tot Yds Air Yds AY% AirYPA
1 A.Rodgers 4643 2480 53% 4.9
2 C.Palmer 2753 1590 58% 4.8
3 E.Manning 4933 2758 56% 4.7
4 M.Moore 2497 1596 64% 4.6
5 D.Brees 5476 2965 54% 4.5

EDIT: Thanks to Harv for pointing out I had pegged Rodgers lead to the wrong category.

Looks like Brees led in Air Yards, but Rodgers led in Air Yards/Attempt. This tells me that what I knew about Manning. He likes to throw it deep, and he has the receivers to do it.
