Actually, it was bad enough that we did know him. Pat Lee signs with the Raiders.

Bush really did get the money for that last spot. Tthe only time I ever got excited about Lee was when we drafted him . When he got to GB I realized I liked Auburn's other corner that was picked by NE.

Bye bye Patty Lee.

Mac is already poaching the Packers roster. :)

Ted sure whiffed on that one.

That was a real all-or-nothing draft for TT. Players were really good, or really worthless.

2008 - Green Bay Packers
RD SEL # PLAYER POSITION SCHOOL
2 36 Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State
2 56 Brian Brohm QB Louisville
2 60 Pat Lee CB Auburn
3 91 Jermichael Finley TE Texas
4 102 Jeremy Thompson DE Wake Forest
4 135 Josh Sitton G Central Florida

Ahhh yes, Jeremy Thompson - Ted's first trade up.

Hey, Breno starts for Seattle.

That's a pretty damned good draft.

Lee could become the Jarrett Bush of the Raiders.

What kind of contract did Lee get from da Raydahs?

Edit: 1y $2mil. Well, thanks for the 7th round comp, I guess. =J

Pat Lee was the quintessential 'just a guy".

He might be okay for Oakland's ST. All Lee ever had was speed.

Looking at this though, can't say it was horrible...
2008 - Green Bay Packers
RD SEL # PLAYER
2 36 Jordy Nelson Packers
2 56 Brian Brohm OUCH...is he in the leauge anymore?
2 60 Pat Lee Raiders
3 91 Jermichael Finley Packers
4 102 Jeremy Thompson Had a ton of injuries, don't think he's around anymore
4 135 Josh Sitton Packers
5 150 Breno Giacomini Seahawks, started for them even last year
7 209 Matt Flynn Seahawks, good for you Matty!
7 217 Brett Swain San Fran

Ted has had drafts were guys who aren't with us aren't even in the league anymore, but there are still guys out there playing, just not for us. Breno was like the great white hope...6'7" 320, long arms, decent athlete...but that was about it.

Giacomini must have developed, Seattle re-signed him this off season for 2 years, $6 million.

I think Packer's fans occasionally downgrade acceptable near average performances when they sometimes constitute the worst performance on a good unit. Colledge suffered from this. I wonder if Breno did as well from the coaching staff.

Either that or Bedard and you are right that the coaching is better elsewhere. :)

I think we were already maxed out on compensatory picks.

Pat Lee would count for the 2013 draft. They have to tally all FA gains/losses over the entire offseason and through their first season.

He was pretty raw when we got him. Maybe he just needed more time.

In defense of the Packers coaching staff...Colledge looked good last year on a very poor offensive line.

Didn't Thompson end up have spine stenosis, the same thing that put Sharp out of the league?

I'm not surprised Giacomini has turned into a decent player. It seemed like the Pack wanted to keep him, but he got lost in a numbers game with some injuries. Didn't we try to stash him on the PS, but Seattle signed him?

To look at that guy walk the sidelines and move during warmups, huge, tall, and agile, I just kept wondering "how can this guy fail?" Numbers game - some guys you can't carry until they develop.

Hey, Breno starts for Seattle.

I just recently unfriended him. It was painful.

wow that he got $2million - wouldn't expect him to get much more then an invite to camp and potential at vet minimum. 4 years in league with not a lot to show for it

Yeah, but he was a GREAT locker room guy. He folded towels, dusted on Wednesdays, remembered birthdays with cards and flowers, hung the seasonal decorations, and tucked motivational notes in the guys' suit pockets on game day. That kind of commitment deserves a big payday.
