Here are some of the top players remaining, vote for who you would like the Packers to draft. If you vote for "other", please tell us who you would like to draft.

Man, there really isn't much left at #28, is there?

Devon Still would be a good addition here. Kendall Reyes would be a good "other" pick.

If Still is still there you have to grab him. Maybe Hightower. Can we trade up in the second and grab Shea McClellin?

Still, Hightower, and Konz are the only options worth considering out of this set.

I don't like Mercilus much to begin with, very risky pick IMO. If you force me to take an LB here, I'm taking Hightower or Branch. I suspect Hightower can play outside (and you replace Hawk in a couple of years if he can't), and Branch is a much, much safer pick than Mercilus.

I voted for Still though, I like Still a lot. A lot of the negative stuff on Still is talking about him playing the 3-technique, not the five. You move him out of that B-gap, and he's not going to get pushed around.

Id these are the choices left I think you grab Still as well........but then.....in anti TT like Fashion......you get dam agressive and get back into the top 40 picks and get one of those OLB's for their pass rush.

With that being said, if TT makes the choice here Konz would not surprise me one bit.

That's why I included "other", Vinny has a 2nd round grade on many boards. I voted for Still, mostly because of Neal's steroid issues, but I like McClellin a lot, reminds me of Clay Matthews without the hair: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RFVe8dxfok
Devon Still: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7-il4z0QRc
Dont'a Hightower ILB Alabama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKBjc1PFvkI
*Whitney Mercilus DE Illinois: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzkrtlBGSlQ&feature=related
Rueben Randle, WR, LSU: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qTJkl-4s2k
David Wilson RB Virginia Tech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqAd8H6Vt8A
Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPMVloAiCTA&feature=related

All these guys are really good, so there will be quality talent there when the Packers pick.

I think we can probably award this to Devon Still.

Agreed. Still it is:

2012 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Devon Still, DT, Penn State
Still is a big-bodied, thick defensive tackle prospect for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Entering the 2012 NFL Draft, there is room for improvement in his draft stock since he is widely-viewed as a interior run stopper only. He tore his ACL as a true freshman, which will be a concern for some coaches during the interview process.
The great thing about this year's defensive tackle class is that there is still the prospect that someone can emerge and break into the Top 5 at the position. Still, for now, is the de facto top prospect but he can be overtaken. Teams are always looking to improve their defensive line, which will carry a player like Still's draft stock a bit higher than projections may indicate.

Still is a tough mauler on the inside who can move bodies between the tackles. He lacks the ability to chase down ball-carriers, but his extreme height and bulk make him a serious handful for offensive linemen.

At the next level, his pass rush needs work. Whether he is shooting the gaps or improving his first step, teams will need to polish his game if they want him to be able to play all three downs. He doesn't have wide hips, but since he is so lean, he can add weight. There is certainly room on his frame to develop a bigger and stronger base.

Personally am not a fan of Still...is he a 5 tech then or us? Just think there is much greater value at other positions and players, I heard Mayock compare him to Pickett, a solid run stuffer with little pass rush threat, that just doesn't interest me...but who knows, teddy will take someone we've never heard of.

When Mayock says "not much pass rush threat" that's because he's looking at Still as a 4-3 DE, which is not where he should be playing. Alternatively, he's looking at him as a 4-3 DT, which is also somewhere he doesn't look great (he'll get blocked more inside).

But there's a professional scout (well, he's retiring after this year) who posts on another message board I frequent, and he has only two "Plus" grades at the 5-tech position this year: Brockers and Still.

Yea I didn't like the pick either, should have gone with Whitney Mercilus IMO.

Personally, I strongly prefer Andre Branch to Mercilus. Mercilus is very much a "boom/bust" OLB prospect, and the "boom" pays off somewhat less since we've already got "the guy" at OLB and we're just looking for "the other guy" whereas "bust" leaves us pretty much where we're at already.

Whitney Mercilus only had one good year, I'm not saying he won't be good, but it will take a couple years to turn him into an OLB. Still reminds me of a Jenkins type player, but I worry about his knees.

This fella Andre Branch is a realistic and very decent pick at #28. We keep coming back to the loss of Cullen Jenkins as hurting our 'D' NOT relacing Cullen Jenkins:

Here's Andre Branch's Scouting Report:

Here's an article of his Combine performance which was described as impressive:

Hightower, Poe, Branch and Perry will all be going just ahed of our pick and one of these felas may fall to us.

DT Devon Stll !? I don't think that will be our pick.

I wonder how much Ted Thompson likes DE Nick Perry?

The N.E. Pat's will likely go 'D' and pick @ #27.

There will be a run on 'D' from picks #18 or so with say five defensive players coming off the board to the Pat's pick.

I'm looking at a Mock right now that has us picking SS Harrison Smith, Notre Dame. Nick Collins!? I believe he's not a first round pick. There are better choices at Safety.

The thing to keep in mind Woody, is that odds are good that the Pats are going to trade at least one of their firsts.
