Sorry to see him go, I enjoyed his show and sportscasts, I wonder if he's retiring or just moving on? Will he still do the play by play on Packer games?

From what I heard he's moving to a bigger role with the Journal Broadcast group. And yes, that will include color on the radio broadcasts. TMJ4 has aquired rights to Packer preseason games which were previously held by FRV Cannel 5 which is a CBS station. TMJ is an NBC station.

I did have a deal with an old college roommate that if either of us was ever in a position to broadcast a baseball game, we would refer to any bouncing ball hit to short as a "clanker". It was hilarious at the time, probably because Harry Caray had driven us mad.

Who cares who the packer radio announcers are now that broadcast radio & digital TV are about 10 seconds out of sync? Can't listen to it anyway.
