What the hell happened to gas cans? I need to buy one and the only ones that seem to be for sale are very expensive and get terrible reviews because they have piss poor design. What happened to the kind that look like this? And does anyone know where you can still buy ones like that?

Did you try with the gas powered lawn mowers? I don't know if they're there, but it's where I'd start.

you can get all the cans you want. its the spout that you can't buy anymore. if you buy new you can only buy the "anti-spill" spout.

maybe try a rummage sale

50 bucks for a fucking can that holds gas? I just want a can with a vent on the back and the hard yellow tip that makes pouring the gas easy. All I can find are these shitty ones online that have safety features (which from what I've read make you spill more gas than ever).

Yeah, I might have to just start looking around places like that.

I was going to start the exact same thread two summers ago. It's a lot cheaper to buy gas on land than on a lake, but with all the Environmental gizmos on them, it is a complete pain in the ass.

I bought a funnel and just ripped the whole thing off.

Plenty of them on EBay if you don't want to go running around looking for one.

All I know is my family's been using the same metal cans for the last 30 years, so if you're actually going to use it, then paying $1.50 doesn't seem like a financial burden to me, but whatever.

Last time I looked for a gas can, this is what I was going to buy. Like I said. Fuck that plastic shit. Although I do have one I could send you for... say... $40.

just depends on what you consider a lawn mower......and what you consider your lawn.
