Haha. :) Never happen in the same division. Maybe they could trade them to the Jets, who could then trade them back to us?....;)

Could be Sharpe.

But don't they have to retire somewhere in the middle to complete the transaction?

Haha. I was kidding. The comment about not trading within the division was just my segway to the joke. :)

The ironic thing, Matthews is getting awfully close to a spot in his career where he's damn well earned a new deal.

Ya, he's pretty significantly underpaid. The article quoted at saying he's due $800K this year. He's got 2 years left, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pack throw a little more money his way before renegotiating. They've done that before.

Sounds like CM3 is trying to play GM.

They should tell him he has to compete for his starting job each year.

Lets see if he decides to retire first. Should know by the day TC opens.

I wouldnt want to be the guy competing against him...he might kill someone...CMIII killed a guy!

You know it would be HILARIOUS if CMIII got some more cash before the renegotiation and TT said "Yeah we like to take care of our guys and not let them twist in the wind like west of here..."

Skipping TCs because you are retired. I almost forgot that one.

No, Zool you have it all wrong. You have to wait until the Monday before the 1st preseason game.

Won't some "team leaders" have to fly to California to talk him into playing?

I took this as Matthews saying "Hey, I'm woefully underpaid too" more than anything else.

I took it as a jab at the Chi and MN front offices.
