IMO a tacit admission by the league that the Pack won. This is as close to an apology as we will get.

They were looking at a near mutiny if they fined those players. Especially if they fined the reigning MVP.

Agreed GC. Lang and Sitton, two lunch pail guys as far as the league is concerned, getting away with those tweets says a lot.

On the other hand, it was reported that the league has never fined a player for something posted via social media so long as it was posted outside the "silent period" they have mandated before, during and after games. This would have been a horrible instance for their first ever fine in those circumstances.

The NFL just wants this whole embarrassing issue to go away. Fining the players would have kept the issue in the news.
