Yeah, he had one of the team's longest plays from scrimmage all year. And when they really needed it.

I was impressed with Green's long run, the kid's got some talent.

But jeez, he misread blocks an awful lot prior to that.

Which is to say: I am a Green fan when he does well, and I am agin him when he doesn't.

he also had about 6 pathetic excuses for runs before that. benson had no problem finding running lanes

The coaches need to put him in the right plays for him to succeed. He's a stretch play guy, not so much an inside the tackles runner. You want him to run inside, then you need to block that up.

Green looks like a 3rd down back to me. His best attribute is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He does not appear to be one of the most dominant runners in Packer history.

Hey he is a Packer Hall of Fame runner compared to the players of the 1980's!

I agree, he is a third down back.

Is Benson going to be able to play next week?

Green is basically a rookie and a third round pick so he isn't going anywhere in 2013.

Smuggler was making a Ryan Grant (longest run from scrimmage last year) joke. Don't think he is serious.

First real playing time this kid has gotten since last season, and really the first time he was asked to carry the load. He is coming off a serious knee injury, and low and behold Packer fan is jumping off a bridge or throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I thought it was the stretch plays where he got taken down behind the line of scrimmage more. It almost seems as if the Packers are designed to run up the middle or not at all. Benson doesn't even seem to get much outside. Well, not as much as up the middle. Maybe it's the frequency? Making the defense defend the stretch too?
