Someone could have taken serious money off me had we made a bet about who would be suffering more versus pass rushers. Stunning. Newhouse might be Tauscher after all is said and done.

I'd just like to know what is up with Bulaga. Something is wrong there; is he injured, problems at home, does he have the "not so fresh feeling?"

...or, did he play way, way above his head last year? (I sure hope not.)

He'll probably rebound. However, the rap on Bulaga when he came out of college was that he'd never be a great pass-blocker. He's suppsed to be the best run-blocker on our line, though. Only time will tell.

I'm going with the "secret injury" theory.

I don't think Newhouse is like Tauscher in style, for sure, but in terms of surprise impact, then yes.

Maybe Newhouse is turning into one tough marshmallow.

His knee punched a coach.

Was the coach looking at his wife?

Right tackle Bryan Bulaga has experienced tendinitis in his right knee since about the start of the regular season and was listed on the injury report for the first time this week.

"There's nothing structural," Bulaga said. "Nothing like that. Little bit of a pounding type deal."

The article was from 9/28, so it's been an issue for a while.

Newhouse always possessed good feet and technique.

Very good at recovering and pushing rushers up the field.

It probably hasn't helped Bulaga's rep after that disastrous performance on national TV in the first half against Seattle...

Not what I see. Terrible at recovery. Far better at getting initial contact. He doesn't show the hustle you would want to see when he loses contact. Too often stands and watches. Looked better at this versus Planet Houston.

I believed Newhouse was top five last year, however his play has slipped a bit this year (to me). It does not suprise me that Bulaga is injured, but he still did not look like his previous self in the first three weeks prior to the reported injury.

How significant can it be if it hasn't even caused him to miss practices?
