Packers will not win and why: The perspective of a “glass half empty” fan

This game will come down to o-line and front seven of each team. Packers have a below average o-line and so do the Cardinals. Packers have a good front seven, however, I would rate the Cardinals has having a better front seven. Rogers will be under pressure all day. I haven’t seen much pressure coming from the Packers in the last couple weeks to feel confident. Every defense in the league knows the formula to beat the Packers (ignore the Packers pitiful excuse for a run game and just go after Aaron Rogers). Easier said than done, yes, but the Cardinals have the horses to do it.

Packers need this win. They need to go into the bye feeling good and they need it to gain some ground in the division. Bears have another cake-walk this week against the Titans and the Vikings can handle Seattle. However, the Cardinals need this win more. They are desperate – they’ve lost 4 in a row. They’ll be more pumped for this than the Packers.

The stars will have to align for the Packers to win today and I just don’t see it happening. Packers will lose, plain and simple.

If Cosby could kick FGs like kickoffs, he'd be something. On the other hand, draft a more consistent kicker and Crosby becomes the greatest kickoff specialist ever.

True test coming up.

Yep, O-line sucks and Rogers holds on too long.

pbmax
11-04-2012, 12:08 PM
Starks dove at the feet of a pass rusher and he just jumped over Starks.

pittstang5
11-04-2012, 12:10 PM
And the drops start - now Cobb infected. However, can't fault him too much, was a tougher catch to make.

pittstang5
11-04-2012, 12:12 PM
That drive started in FG range - Rogers loses about 10 yards on the sack, then Crosby misses a Makeable FG. Not Good.

For both dime snaps, #Packers have used their Bat package with Neal as DL, Moses, Matthews, Jones, Walden as LBs.

Is that a catch? Was he down by contact? Happy it's being reviewed.

Could go either way - I didn't see a good angle as to what all went on. If the Seattle game taught us anything, we're screwed.

pittstang5
11-04-2012, 12:53 PM
I think if they rule that a catch, initially, I don't think it's overturned.

Well, that'll be a 7 point mistake.

Could go either way - I didn't see a good angle as to what all went on. If the Seattle game taught us anything, we're screwed.

The way the ref explained it made sense - Cobb didn't catch it, Gay did. I thought they might rule it not a catch, so the DB couldn't take it away, but they ruled the DB was the one who made the catch.

denverYooper
11-04-2012, 12:56 PM
It sure seems like Packer opponents have been really successful scoring TDs off of Pack turnovers on the GB side.

pittstang5

Bulaga - twisted hip (was questionable to return

Jordy - Ankle (was questionable)

Clay - Hamstring - (was questionable).

I'm guessing, since the Pack had the lead and the bye coming up, They all stayed out. Needed this win and thank god the bye is here. This team needs to heal...bad.

D showed good and bad of youth this week. House and Hayward both allowed completions they shouldn't have. House on 3rd or 4th down right over his head late -- Hayward got completely turned around in the first half allowing a long completion.

Both also made plays, esp Hayward. But they are going to get burned occasionally. If Shields can comeback and regain form, that secondary can be very good.

McMillan also showed he can tackle on the move today. Nice pass breakup as well.

Cobb and Walden today, were by far, the best players on the field for the Packers. Really surprised how Walden has turned it around since last year. good for him.

I just got back from the game.

It wasn't Finley's fault per se. He got open time after time and ARod doesn't trust him so he doesn't see the ball.

On Boykins 7 yard catch on the far sideline, Finley had made a double move on the safety and was wide open at the 45 with no one between him and the end zone, ARod double clutched and went to Boykins.

Not much to be excited about on either side of the ball in the second half.

Defense appears lost. Skelton is making his pitch for MVP. Offense with zero production.

Our defense really looked bad with Matthews out of there. I hope he is back (along with a laundry list of other guys) after the bye!

I was just looking at the game book from NFL.com (which shows us in a 2-4-5 alignment to start the game!) and noticed P. Lenon is listed as Arizona's starting ILB. Is that Paris? If so, which him, Holliday and College there, I think they've replaced the Vikings as the Packers old age home!

From Pro Football Focus, #Packers blitzed Skelton 25% of the time Sun. & he had 130.6 QB rating. Rating was 48.2 when GB didn't blitz.
