This reminds me of a great New Yorker cartoon.

A couple of guys in fur and mukluks were standing in a snowy wasteland. One of them, who was reading the New York Times, said, "There was a bad subway accident in Manhattan. It doesn't say if any Laplanders were hurt."

The Doghouse Sports Bar & Eatery.

A GREAT GREEN BAY PACKER Fan BAR located in Sunbury, Ontario, Canada:

" brimming with Packers paraphernalia. During the season Duval has Wisconsin brats and burgers sizzling on the grill for each game, and everyone in the bar wears Green Bay jerseys. The game day atmosphere has continued to sway visitors once loyal only to the CFL. "

I'm posting this one as a dedication to one of our own. UpNorth who resides presently in the prarie province of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Some die hard football fans 'live and love' football and their 'Green and White' Saskatchewan RoughRiders ( CFL ).

one of the things on my "bucket list" is to attend a game at Lambeau Field before I die. I'm looking to find a Packer season ticket holder who is interested in the CFL. What I'd like to do is to set up a swap of the Packer-RoughRider experience. I would like to attend a game at Lambeau and then have that person come up to Saskatchewan for our Labour Day Classic game (early September vs. Winnipeg), which is ALWAYS the biggest, most fun game of the season CanadianPackerFan

It is NOT in that armpit of a town called Sudbury!!! It's located in nearby, beautiful Rayside-Balfour :alc:

I love how the article doesn't even specify that though, just saying 'in Ontario, Canada'. Ya gotta narrow it down a little more than that, or you're going to find yourself on the shores of James Bay looking for a drink!

Sudburry/Rayside-Balfour, what's the difference? (I'm ducking now as all the Raysidians throw mine slag at me!)

Politically speaking, Rayside-Balfour doesn't really exist anymore, does it? I spent a few nights in the area until about 10 years ago, and it was my understanding that it had been or was in the process of being dissolved and subsumed by Sudbury. Do I have that wrong?

The coolest guy at this year's Packer twitter meetup (Saints game), "Throwback Weekend II", was from Canada: Packer Dan. Follow him at @PackerDan77 if you wish. Great fella, can put em down.

How did I friggen know YOU would show up and bring this matter up.

Telling a french man from Rayside-Balfour that he is from Sudbury will get you a result similar to this

This is the town where I was in a bar, and a guy threatened to 'go out to his pickup truck and get his hokey stick!

Anyways, before I get found out, I'll fess up and say I'm pretty sure the pub is actually in Azilda, a village in Rayside township that was never an independent municipality. But it had an arena!

Ya, I ran into more than a few in the area that weren't real happy if you said they were from Sudbury.
Was in more than a couple of the areas hockey rinks, too. Rayside had one of the better NOJHL tams for quite a while. I've sort of forgotten where exactly they played, but I was in a few rinks to watch youth games as well.

Yea that was funny for me too Guiness! Ontario , Canada. NOT very big.

The Doghouse Sports Bar & Eatery.... easy to find. It's somewhere in the Lake Superior / Georgian Bay area. Piece of cake.

One time I drove out west (wife, child and mother-In-Law) and left Mississauga , Ontario (located just west of Toronto, Ont.) on a Saturday and finally reaced Manitoba, Canada around noon on Monday.

No problem havn't had a beer on James Bay before. Just a drive to Cochrane, Ontario and a canoe trip, float plane or train to Moosenee, Ontario and canoe or float plane up on the Bay. Jeans or sweats and a Packer jersey and 'where's that Dog tavern' ? It's gotta sign outside like this.

Yes ...... It's located in what's called Azilda, Ontario located just north of Whitewater Lake (formerly ** Rayside-Balfour, Ont.) and that's north on HWY. #35 NORTH from Sudbury, Ont.

** Azilda or Rayside-Balfour......I'm not touching that. I don't want to get hunted down for any error.

Here's a LINK that will help anyone interested in the ultimate Green Bay Packer fan drinking and eating experience. You'll feel welcome. LOL

If you plan on going there wear Packer something or you'll feel out of place. 8-)

Patriots top sales chart and PACKERS third.

So far this season the New England Patriots have sold more merchandise in Canada than any other NFL team.

The Steelers, Packers, Raiders and Bills round out the top-five in Canada.

One of the most interesting trends in NFL merchandise this season is the rise of Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.

NFLshop.com has sold more Griffin III No. 10 jerseys than any other player’s in a single season since the NFL started keeping track six years ago, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com.

As Rovell notes, Griffin’s rise is even more impressive is that the NFL’s fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31, meaning that he has the league’s highest-selling jersey with 3½ months to spare.

Griffin is followed by Broncos QB Peyton Manning and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers on the NFL’s best-selling jersey list through the month of November, 2012. Overall, QBs make up seven of the top spots.
