Josh Brent on sideline of Cowboys game. I don't like that he is there. Seems dumb to welcome him back when a drug test or Personal Conduct Policy could make him persona non grata for much less serious offenses.

Boomer Esiason says the Cowboys told CBS that he was invited after Jerry Brown's family asked the Cowboys to support him. Brown's family has publicly forgiven him and invited him to the memorial services. They were teammates at Illinois I believe.

Much credit should go to Brown's family for forgiving the kid, but he should not be on the sideline of the game until the matter is AT LEAST adjudicated by the League, if not the Courts.

Up to this point - I really wanted to play STL in GB in the playoffs - and while that would still be interesting... I'm not sure I want to play them. So far - Wilson has almost 100y and 3 rushing TDs - along with 200 passing / 1 TD.

I get that the Cards/Bills aren't great teams - but when teams start hanging 50 back to back going into the playoffs - they can be very dangerous.

Damn you - I was up 'til 330am partying in Chicago - not the time for proper grammar or coherent thoughts.

We must be educating Cali Mexicans better these days :-)

It's a scenario where the Seahawks could be playing confidently and have as much to prove on 'why the "won" the last game'.

The Patriots beat the Dolphins, Bills twice, Jets twice, Colts, Tennesee, Rams, Denver early in the year when they struggled, the Texans (who are winning in the worst division in football)

They lost to the Seahawks, Ravens and Arizona.

They don't have nearly the difficult schedule the 9ers have, or us for that matter. They've beaten one really good team, and another good team that was losing a lot of games when they played them.

Oh, I have money on the 9ers tonight. The 9ers are being given 5.5 points. I think it's a good bet. To me, the Patriots are very overrated. They beat a bunch of slugs.

Watched the Cowboys/Steelers SB the other night.

Boy, Aikman was a good player. He was making some beautiful passes into tight spaces. Picture perfect throwing motion. Accurate as can be. . . . Kevin Green was in there. Reminded me a lot of Kamp in his prime. Irvin was a beast. Deion was an absolute freak. Not only is he fast as hell, when he had a punt return he looked as quick as a whip too. Guy was a freak.

After watching that game, I have a whole new respect for Aikman. He was a great player or at least he had a great game.

It'll be a defensive battle if the Packers play them. Packers OL just won't be able to hold up well enough for the Packers to score more than a couple TD's. Not having a dependable FG kicker could really hurt in a game like that.

Nicely designed play against one deep safety in half the field. How do they get that coverage while running two deep routes? No shallow defender followed either Crabtree or Walker.

Indeed.

Misconceptions

Considering face guarding is not a penalty, a defender does not have to be "looking for the ball" when breaking up a pass for the receiver. Instead, he just needs to make sure he makes no physical contact at all with the receiver before the ball arrives.

Right. The NE secondary is very easy to confuse. They look slow. The game is too fast for Talib. He doesn't have the wherewithal to turn back for the ball. Inside, they don't have any of those instinctive type players who make throwing over the middle so dangerous.

With Wood and Hayward playing inside, we'll confuse the shit out of Kapernick. They'll move the ball, run the ball and pass the ball. But we'll get turnovers. Kapernick likes to go deep and those are the throws Shields picks off regularly.

I don't see him putting up those types of numbers.

We have Tennessee, then Minnesota. . .

If we end up with the 2 seed, we'll probably see SF in GB as they'll probably be the 3 seed. If we have the 3 seed, we'll probably see SF as they'll be the 2 seed. It's going to be a very, very tough road to the SB. The bye would be really nice for us. Get Wood back for 2 games, get him in the groove a little. Get Matthews in the groove. Week off. Get our big guys fresh. . . . We're going to need all the muscle we can get if we're going to beat SF. And then there is the Falcons. . . Would be nice to get Nelson back too. Get those WR's in a groove. When we get to ATL, we're going to all the firepower we can get.

Boy, it's going to be a crazy finish. We have shot. Honestly, Denver scares the shit out of me. If we win the SB this year, it's going to be a big friggin deal. I guess it always is, but it seems like a brutal road this year. Great teams in the NFC and then whoever comes out of the AFC, I'm sure they'll be great to.

That was funny. The analysts for MNF just made their selections of who would win this final 2012 season MNF game. It was 4-3 Titans but I cry foul.

Tom Jackson made his pick after a coin toss. LOL It came up....TITANS !

I went Jets in the Pro Pickem' for too many reasons. I'll check to see how the others went...be right back.

10-6 TITANS....HOMERS !

This game should be wild to watch as the Jets always entertain.
