Which of those 8-6 teams makes it?

Three on the road this week, Dallas at home. Chicago has a nice match-up this week, although the Giants are visiting a Baltimore team that is streaking the wrong way and backed into a playoff spot despite losing. Dallas hosting NO, I have no idea what sort of Saints team will show up.

The final week of the season, Minnesota draws the short straw again, playing the Pack, although I guess they can hope we're resting starters if there's nothing to play for. Chicago leads a charmed existence, playing Detroit. Dallas plays Washington while the Giants get a much easier matchup hosting a Philly team that Reid isn't likely to be able to motivate.

I don't see a clear favorite there. Chicago based on schedule, while Minnesota plays two teams who have locked up a playoff berth. I hate to say it, but I think the Giants will win out.

Per one of those playoff generator things, if the Falcons lose 2, the 49ers lose 1, and the Packers win 2, the Packers would get the number 1 seed. People have been talking like the number one seed was locked up or that it was not possible for us to get it. Is the generator wrong, or is it just people assuming Atlanta will win one more game?

Its not locked up, but they play the Lions who seem to have folded their tent and then the Bucs, who are fighting with Brian Cox on the sideline.

1) The vikling pukes are out of it.
2) Playing the Bears again is not so bad this season.
3) Sometime they will have to face an NFC West team. Knocking either out of contention will be nice. Will also be toughest game.
4) The Packers would enjoy going to pay mattie puddle a visit.

I'd love to see the Packers in the # 2 seed. That Seattle game is now hurting our chances of that. As much as it pains me, I guess I'm rooting for Seattle this week.

The Vikings are on the inside now, but do not control their own fate. The Seahawks and Cowboys (if the Redskins win the division) have control of their own destiny at this point.

You know what also hurt GB's chances of a bye? Losing to the 49ers.

Yup GIANTS will rally to take down the Ravens as they still adjust to a new "O" Co-ordinator and easily defeat the Eagles at home in week 17.

Minny is tough and tough the final two weeks.

Dallas needs to play it big Vs 'the Spoiler Role' Saints this weekend and then it's a difficult week 17 game in Washington Vs a team that's on a role and will be extremely tough in front of it's fans in the final week.

GIANTS win the NFC East. Skins get the sixth seed.

GIANTS win the NFC East. Skins get the sixth seed.

I want to revise this post:

Right now the team that's playing the best in the NFC East between the Skins, GIANTS and Cowboys is the Skins. They own the tiebreak over the GIANTS if they both win their final two games and finish 10-6. The Skins and GIANTS both play the Eagles in the final two weeks.

The team with the toughest road to the playoffs 'the Cowboys'; own the tiebreaker in a scenario where all three teams finish at 9-7. The Cowboys need to defeat the Saints at home in week 16 and then defeat the Skins on the road. The Skins have already won this season in Dallas.

A worst case scenario for the GIANTS (Re: the NFCE Championship) is for the Skins to defeat the Eagles and Cowboys defeat the Saints in week 16. If that was the case a GIANTS win in Baltimore wouldn't matter. That scenario would set up an NFCE Championship game beteen Dallas @ Washington on SNF in Week 17. That's exactly the way I see it going down.

I have the Skins and GIANTS finishing at 10-6.

Skins win the NFCE.

GIANTS get the No. 6 seed and play the Green Bay Packers (seeded at 3) in the first round of the playoffs.

This time when the GIANTS travel to Lambeau Field we see our team get the monkey off their back. ;-)

Incidently...Packer fans that fear the GIANTS; should hope that the Saints defeat the Cowboys today and that the Cowboys win in Washington next week. That would most likely give the GIANTS the NFC East; assuming that they win in Baltimore today and the NO. 4 seed. The Packers then avoid them in the first round of the playoffs.

GO PACKERS !
