wonder if it's the same ankle.

I heard somebody kicked Jordy in the leg on that big catch in the 4th.

I don't know who was worse, Webb or Al Michaels. Boy, he's been great, but he's losing it.

The second half was pretty crappy football so Al and Cris really had to dig deep for something to talk about.

gotta watch for DD to do a walk around I Hope

..topped of with a reach around by TT himself in a lux box while he gently whispers: "I didn't draft ya but this is nice, right DD?".

Got home from work this morning all excited to watch the DVR'd game.... and Time Warner Cable boxes are so retarded they can't figure out to delete the oldest items to record a newer one. They decide I would rather they just not record the football game. Idiots. Glad we won, but would have enjoyed actually watching the damn game. At least I don't work this coming weekend so I should be able to watch the game live.

Fiery Viking ship is the best victory celebration on this site.

Announcers next week for Sat are Brennman and Billick. Kenny, Moose and Goose got bumped.

I'm probably alone in this, but I think Cobb is still the fourth best WR on the roster. I would like to see Jennings, Nelson, and Jones getting most of the snaps. If anyone is going to get their snaps reduced I would like it to be Cobb. I don't know if it was because Nelson wasn't 100%, but I didn't like him not being on field more than Cobb yesterday.

It might be better to play the Niners in SF--depending on the weather.

It's a long way off, but forecast right now for Saturday is Sunny and 55, with a low of 44. Showers possible on Sunday though, so wet weather on Saturday would still be a possibility.

Packers have no trouble in cold or snow. Only wind.

I am willing to entertain that turnovers are another matter given their T/O ratio in playoffs, but otherwise this angle is overplayed. Losing twice to the Giants doesn't prove anything about the Packer offense other than it struggles versus the Giants D.

Very well done. Cliff Crusty and Eric whatever-the-hell-his-name-is do a nice job with their post game analysis. I have two must-read columns every game. Well, anything with McGinn's scouts takes and this one. These guys are football purists with independent analysis.

This is a pretty funny pic. Jerome Simpson is a strange dude.

Oh, and the homer play-by-play guy for the Vikings, Paul Allen (who actually think is pretty good play-by-play guy; just a homer), acted like Simpson completely toasted Shields on this play.

I LOLed watching the throw to Simpson real-time...unless he's secretly inspector gadget, Simpson had zero chance of catching that ball. Webb missed him by at least 5 yards.

Allen is good when he's objective; the trouble is he's not objective often enough...way too much of a homer. The Vikings get a first down and he's all excited. They get a FG to go up 3-0 and on the kickoff he's yelling "BOOM!"

Really?

Once GB went up 17-3 you could tell he knew the game was over -- he had no enthusiasm in his voice, which was a shame because it takes away from enjoying the broadcast and a guilty pleasure because I hate the Viking homerism.
