Four games this week-end:
Baltimore at Denver, 4:30 Saturday
Green Bay at San Francisco, 8:00 Saturday
Seattle at Atlanta, 1:00 Sunday
Houston at New England, 4:30 Sunday

Reading a link from the Packers game discussion, http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8831246/bill-barnwell-saturday-slate-nfl-playoff-games, I found out something that made me smirk - Chris Johnson, the speedster that we carried on the roster for two years, was signed by Baltimore in November and will be starting against the Broncos. Peyton's gota be happy about that!

McGahee is back, but will not play against Ravens. I like watching this guy run; gifted, natural runner, with good vision, suddeness, power, and pad level, something we really haven't seen in GB since Ahman Green.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – He was hard to find at first.

But there, in the black, number-less jersey, was Willis McGahee, making his return to Broncos' practice for the first time since injuring his knee in a game on Nov. 18.

The Broncos used their injured reserve exemption on McGahee, and he was cleared to practice this week. He is not eligible to return to the active roster or play in a game until at least next week, should the Broncos advance to the AFC Championship Game by beating the Ravens on Saturday.

McGahee went through individual drills with his teammates during the portion of practice that was open to the media. His black jersey was a sign that he would do some work on the scout team later in the practice.

McGahee is the Broncos' leading rusher, with 731 yards and four touchdowns, but he hasn't played since he was injured in the first half against San Diego. He suffered a strained MCL and also a compound fracture in his lower leg but did not need surgery.

The only Broncos player held out of practice Wednesday was cornerback Tracy Porter, who hasn't practiced since suffering a concussion in the first quarter of a game against Cleveland on Dec. 23. That was his only action since symptoms of a seizure reoccurred in mid-October.

"He's worked very hard. Our trainer and his staff, and Willis have worked hard, and he had a good first day," Broncos coach John Fox said.

I agree there, though McGahee's fumble rate this year has been higher than his historical average, much to the ire of Devner radioland's callers.

What a cluster that was on Baltimore's fumble! As the center was snapping the ball I could tell Flaco was not ready for it. Ball bounces around on the ground, gets kicked, goes of someone's knee and ends up 3 yards over the line of scrimmage at an LB's feet!

Having 2 or 3 timeouts and 30 seconds to get Prater in FG range should have meant some pass attempts down field. Fox got ultra conservative at end of regulation. Even in OT they kind of held back. Maybe he was gunshy because of the botched FG attempt at end of 1st half. But then Chump Bailey was the culprit on that bad TD Denver gave up.

That blown coverage at end of reg. was just awful. How do you even LET a guy get downfield. I know it may have been a zone, but given the time of the game, there was nothing else left BUT a deep ball. Plus that ball was up FOREVER, DB misjudged it by a couple of yards.

I would LOVE to see HOU/BALT in AFCC. I can deal with ATL/HOU/BAL. If SF gets there (which is a very good possibility), listening to that asshat Harbaugh will be insufferable.

The game tying TD from Flacco came with 30 seconds left. 1 DB let the Ravens WR fly by him (assumng it was zone and was letting the next DB cover him) Unfortunately, that next DB misjudged the pass by a couple yards and the WR walked into the endzone.

Fox got the ball and had 2 or 3 timeouts left with 31 seconds left in game. Instead of having Manning try leading them within FG range for Prater (who's normally Denver's ace at long distance), they chose to run the ball up the gut and let time expire. If I was a Denver fan, I'd be a little PO'd as well.

That's so hard to imagine.... moreso believe. WOW ! What must Fox have felt if he watched the finish to the Seattle @ Atlanta game today!?

Fox bent over for an O.T. showdown and took the ball out of his star QB's hand. How can Fox excuse such a tactical error? It will be interesting as this plays out this week on NFL Access.

You have Peyton Manning as your QB and you elect to rush the ball. Neglecting the pass to better advance the ball for a possible FG effort.

The Denver Broncos ! Maybe officially they will assign it to 'the hindsight is 20-20' file? How would you like to be John Fox answering to the Brass on that loss?

It looks like the NE Pat's are getting it done right again today.

It's 38-28 Pats with 2:38 remaining in regulation.

A replay of the AFC final from last season. That will hopefully be a super game to watch.

A) A chance for Flacco redemption?

B) An extention of the Ray Lewis retirement tour?

C) Will Tom Brady and Bill Belichick expand their legacy in NFL history? Guide the Pats to another Super Bowl?

It's now 41-28 'New England Patriots'.

At least Pete Carroll lost. Unfortunately, Harbaugh, Jim is still prowling the sidelines.

Ravens - Falcons superbowl!

..Unfortunately I think that's the least probable outcome...

It doesn't really matter, just pissed that New England owns the playoffs year in and year out and we suck, mainly because the defense has a major brain fart come playoffs. That's all I'm getting at.

I'm with you on this. I think that Bellichick will come out with a creative gameplan if they face the 9ers again.

I know last night was hard to swallow, but how would any of you like to be a Denver fan right now! How in the heck do you allow that to happen! Then when you did, how do you kneel down with 30 seconds left and timeouts when all you need is a field goal to win! I just don't understand, what the hell Denver was thinking!

that's their 4th and 26 game, no question about it.

Yep....both Denver and Seattle shot themselves in the foot as far as I'm concerned. That last throw by Manning was horrid but wow...to not go for a first down or two with some timeouts remaining was lame...but the truly lame sauce was not kicking the field goals when you had the chance (SEA).

Hearing a lot about it on the radio today. Mostly that and Champ getting toasted. Not as much about Manning's 3 turnovers, but some of that too.

His last throw had nothing on it....nothing. I don't think his arm was hit either....and that TO was the game.

I was back and forth between the TV screen and the puter as that game wound down in regulation time.

The NFL analysts on NFL Access (tonight - Monday evening), totally backed the decisions that John Fox and Peyton Manning made 'at the end of regulation', in their 'one and out' playoff loss to the Ravens. Their position was that it was clear too. That both Fox and Manning were on the same page in the decision to not pass, rather run the ball, to allow the clock to run out and take it to OT.

That surprized me somewhat, but alot of these fellas once made such decisions.

I asked myself..... Is it liks the 'Old Boys Club' ?
