I think you meant to say "Dude" and not "dud"... I think... but anyway... great career, you will be missed, Pack fought the good fight and came up short. ***sigh*** GO PACK GO! (and you are loved much Donald)

Billie is here with a little send off.... I am sad tonight...

He shouldn’t have even made the team this year. He should appreciate the TT thought that much of him that he kept him on the team as a 7th Wr essentially. Shows the respect he has within the organization and among fans. Now he should take a hint and retire otherwise he is cut.

This ^^. I think you nailed it but it is a sad passage. Billie was posted for the Packer passage today btw, not just the passage of DD. ***double sigh***

DD is blessed and he knows it.

Only 8 catches for 77 yards and 2 TDs this year, but he's had a great, and unexpectedly, long career. He's played in the Pro Bowl, got a Super Bowl ring, played for only one team his whole career, is a fan favorite and a sure-fire future member of the Packers Hall of Fame.

He made himself a household name through DWTS and secured endorsement income for himself the rest of his life. Considering his background, where he is now in his life is storybook. Time to walk away from the game with class.

This couldn't have been a fun season for him. He must realize he played his last in green and gold.

Hi , I say make Donald the new receivers coach maybe he could even teach the other guys how to hold on to the ball and Finley a little humility , he was a great receiver very disciplined and would make a great coach

great, great, great Packer! This guy is a border line NFL hall of famer

743 10137 61

those are sterling numbers! not so much in the video game age, but most of his career wasn't played in that age!

he will fall short of the hall, but he should be in the conversation! Not bad for an afterthought!

Not a HoFer, but a great Packer and a consummate professional.

I remember listening to a game early in the '99 season and thinking to myself "That Driver kid could be pretty good." Usually I'm wrong, but I was right on that one.

Lots of great memories watching that guy play.

THANKS Kiwon.

Man I get choked up whenever I have to come to grips with the reality he will be gone.

I know just where I was in 1999 when I discovered he was drafted ( Round: 7 - Pick: 213 Overall); how impressed I was with his athletic credentials.

Donald Driver attended Alcorn State University in Mississippi, where he lettered in both football and track & field. He finished his college football career there with 88 receptions for 1993 yards (19.69 Yards Per Catch). Driver is one of the most decorated track athletes in the NFL (he is an Olympic class high jumper, being able to jump 7 feet 6 inches[1] and could have qualified for the 2000 Summer Olympics team). He was a five-time "Athlete of the Year" in his conference for his track and football prowess.

Driver is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Fr Sources

What a career he gave us to enjoy:

** 4× Pro Bowl (2002, 2006, 2007, 2010)

** Super Bowl champion (XLV)

** Green Bay Packers MVP (2002)

** Packers "Walter Payton Man of the Year" (2002)

** Ed Block Courage Award (2005)

** Green Bay Packers Receiving Yards All-Time Leader

** Green Bay Packers Receptions All-Time Leader

My All Time Favourite Green Bay PACKER, that wasn't a QB. :-D

Long may you excell Donald Driver !
