Does this mean every mock draft will now have the Bears taking a MLB? Who will find a team first? Urlacher or Woodson?

Take your pick - a 37 year old Safety who can't run, or a 34 year old MLB who can't run.
urlacher made 8 million last year and wanted to stay with the bears to finish a career
sounds like they offered a one year deal worth "up to" 2 million dollars
pft seems to think that it could drive him to the queens out of spite now

Nope ... it like the next hurahh for both Brian Urlacher and Charles Woodson is the NFL HOF.
Patience may pay off but age generally wins.

Could you imagine if the Queens signed him??
Then he and Jennings could do Old Spice commercials together...

Trying not to spit my coffee out laughing. Let me try:
...if they sign Urlacher, the Vikings have to sign Titus Young so Detroit doesn't feel left out.

With Urlacher's departure, Jay Cutler is now the official face of their team.
Chalk up 2 wins a season against them for at least the next few years.

Comment woodbuck27:
WOW! Is this 'more salt' for the wound?
This move might really piss Mr. Urlacher off.
Reporter: Brian are you looking forward to returning to Chicago to see your number retired?
Brian Urlacher: Chicago!?? Where's Chicago?

Honestly, I was never as big of an Urlacher fan as he probably deserved. WTF tho, I'm a Packer fan. I have to have some blind-spots somewhere, right?

Players should play as long as they want, and if their former team doesn't offer them what they think they need to continue playing, then move on. I get tired of hearing people selfishly want guys to quit playing the game because their team decides they don't want to pay for them any longer.
In this instance the player decided that nobody was beating down his door, and he didn't want to put his body through any more at less than a certain price he had in his head. Had another team came calling w/ an offer closer to what he was looking for he'd be on that team right now. As it stood, the bears offered him more money than he was likely to get from anyone else and there just wasn't a market for him. I still think the guy can play and be effective but not as a 3 down guy.

Nice link Craig!
No story is good without a proper bad guy to hate. Urlacher provide that and help continue the NFLs greatest rivalry. Happy to know he will never have another pick-six against the Pack. Wish him the best in his post-bear life.

Well, if as someone said on the previous page, this means Cutler is now the official face of the team, then this adds to Cutler's responsibilities, as he is still also the offical ass of the team.

So does that make him the offical ass-face of the Bears?

I would agree except the Bears draft linebackers like the Packers draft QBs. They'll have another Pro Bowler in less than 4 years.
So does that make him the offical ass-face of the Bears?
I think it makes his ass the official face of the Bears.
