Bleacher Report...Rodgers?

I know bleacher report does a mock draft every 4 hours, kind of why I enjoy them. But they did a mock where the packers took in the 7th round Jordan Rodgers QB Vanderbilt ....if ya still dont get it, Aaron Rodgers little brother, think this would be a good pick yes or no?

Personally anyone would be better than Graham Harrell, in my eyes. I think it would be pretty cool to see Aarons little brother be his back up, and heck i dont know anything about the kid, but he should be able to learn a few things from his big brother. Plus wasn't mccarthy a QB coach at one time?

Just thought it was interesting.

Ugh, sibling rivalry? No. God no. That would be absolutely horrible. Imagine if Rodgers goes out, then Rodgers comes in and sucks total ass. Wouldn't that suck? Yuck.

Such a move would place alot of pressure on him and maybe Aaron Rodgers.

Take a look at other brother combinations on past Pro sports teams. It has worked out and I'm referring to brothers playing on the same NHL team. The Hulls and the Chicago Blackhawks and the Mahovlich's and the Montreal Canadians are good examples of that Mazzin.

I know Jordan is noticeably faster than Aaron, but his arm isn't as strong. He might not be a bad pick up, but if he goes undrafted, he will almost certainly come to either GB (or perhaps CHI). It might be best not to draft him.

He could be useful as a read-option type dude.

I wish Jordan the best,but I think being on the same team with Aaron is rife with potential problems: for Jordan, for Aaron, and the Packer organization. I was in a father/son situation at work that had some real downsides.

Carson Palmer's brother was Jordan Palmer & was a QB, too. He played for Cincy for a couple seasons as 3rd QB. He stunk and all the boys hated him. It sounds like things could be deju vu with ARod's bro.

I hope Ted scouts him like any other prospect and gets Aaron's honest take on whether the two of them would co-exist well. I believe they train together in the off-season, so the kid would have some clue of the rigors of study, schedule and training to be an NFL quarterback. We cycle through so many as it is, it wouldn't be a huge loss to have a subpar 3rd-string QB (unless there's a better #52 out there).

My father-in-law is a Vandy alum, and the last two years they have closed out their schedule by playing Wake Forest, both games in Winston-Salem, NC (strange that Wake got both games at home and not the traditional home and home arrangement). Vandy won big both in 2011 and 2012. The third and last time I got to see him play was in the Music City Bowl last year against NC State. Obviously, he's not as experienced and accomplished as his big brother was at the same stage. I don't think I see enough in his decision making or reads, let alone his arm strength to make all the throws to be considered a pro prospect. What he did have that I liked was confidence and leadership. There was no wow factor with Jordan, but he did command the huddle, seemed fairly decisive and did make some nice throws as well, and can run. I remember them going read option on NC State in the second half which was kind of interesting. Vandy had/has two other guys on offense that I'll be interested to follow. Zac Stacy is a nifty little runner at 5-9 210. He's not a burner at 4.62 but is fairly shifty. He set the all-time rushing record for Vandy last year, which is an accomplishment in the SEC. He's 6-3 205 and a good route runner. He's one to watch.

For Jordan's sake I hope he goes elsewhere. Aaron casts a big enough shadow as it is and it would be even worse for Jordan. He'd be better off going to another team in the AFC. I doubt he'll be drafted. His name rarely comes up when folks discuss QBs and this isn't the strongest QB class by a long shot.
