I greatly enjoy reading everyones opinons on here, even amongst the fighting and bickering. I'm certainly not informed as much as half of you here. Do any of you know about any players that are going to be undrafted for whatever reason, (injury, troubled past, ect.) That Ted might pick up. It seems to me that we nail a lot of undrated rookies....ie. Sam Shields. Im sooo excited for the draft, and feining for some good draft talk.

There are hundreds of players so it's hard to predict who might not be drafted, but I do like to watch ex Wisconsin Badger players like CBs Devin Smith and Marcus Cromartie, S Shelton Johnson, OL Rick Wagner, DE Louis Nzegwu and S Aaron Henry.

Mazzin, good idea for a thread. Who are the "Florida Gulf Coast" players of this year's draft? Or, better yet, would they be the NIT players (Not Invited to Tryout)? I like the hungry, overlooked, but still obviously talented prospects that emerge; guys like Dezman Moses from last year.

Here is an article that I enjoyed reading. Click here (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1560335-7-offensive-players-who-will-provide-the-most-value-in-the-2013-nfl-draft/page/2) to read. Not all these guys are "overlooked", but some will be. I love profiles like these.

I just found this one (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1580185-2013-nfl-draft-10-hidden-gems-you-need-to-know-now/page/2) from the same site. I like this one too!

J.J. Wilcox would be amazing, as I went to GSU as well, and watched him play. He is very fluid, he used to play running back/reciever for 2 years, and switched to SS last year, so only one year at it, but the kid has talent. Also liked Ty Powell from Harding

Bump...here are some more guys to keep an eye on. The one The I was really impressed with is Caleb Schreibeis OLB/DE of Montana St. 6-3 255, great motor, character guy. Look him up on YouTube. Click here (http://edraft.com/nfl/news/2013-nfl-draft-20-under-the-radar-players/) for the link to the article that covers about 20 guys, most of whom you've probably not heard of.

The Colorado School of Mines is about 15 minutes from my door. It's kind of like Michigan Tech, except in the foothills. There's an awesome brewery right on the edge of campus run by ex-geologists.

Seems to me that would be a great place to go for a brewery tour 'often' to start a wild weekend.

This fella is a product of the Colorado School of Mines and is being heralded as a fine prospect for the NFL in about 2 decades time.

how long do you figure it would take a guy from having zero football knowledge, but all the god given talent in the world, to be able to contribute

lets say average learning ability

1 year, 2 years?

4 years,5?

is it even possible?

margus hunt is in the same class, and he still has a lot to learn after 2 or 3 years playing

is learning the finer points of football really that difficult when dealing with someone with an intelligence level above that of a 4th grader?

i guess it also depends on the teacher. we all know james campen couldn't teach a 10 foot high circular brick wall how to make a pocket for a QB

Depends on the position. I've seen guys with no previous American Football experience contribute pretty much from day 1. An Aussie rules player ended up being a special teamer, a specialty punter on 3rd and short...guy could kick equally well with both feet, and was a real threat to take off. An English rugby winger ran a ridiculous sweep. We also had some guy we called crazy legs...guy was a like a runaway train. Didn't play in high school, but was hell of a gunner on ST.

DL though, would be tougher of course, learning the stunts and stuff. But I bet you could find a place somewhere on the field for him.

I was listening to Tim and Pat on Sirius XM NFL Radio today and they were interviewing a prospect named Mike Hill from Missouri Western (a D2 program), and talking about how he lead all divisions in rushing yards. I found this interview article about him, and an embedded YouTube video. Click here (http://nfldraftzone.com/draft-news/draft-zone-spotlight-michael-hill-rb-missouri-western-university/) for the link.

I would love it if Green Bay got someone like this as an UFA. He looks kinda shifty, and has good vision, and the video shows him picking up blitzes and blocking for some boundary plays. Tim and Pat were asking him for his measurables and it sounded like they were really impressed with his short-area burst. These are the perfect UFA's but who knows, someone might take a late round flyer on this guy.

He's a 5'-10" and 210 lbs. RB / KR with about 4.6 Sec./40

Rated 34 of 176 RB's 451 of 2509 draft eligible football players.

Evidently his stock is rising.

Michael Hill seems like a sharp kid. I like how this article (http://www.newspressnow.com/sports/college/missouri_western_griffons/article_80addc4d-7269-523d-92d8-1cad345e9f37.html) talks how his pro-day stats rank vs. other RB's at the combine (where he was not invited). Pretty favorable for a D2 guy. This guy was also the MVP of a college all-star game vs. several SEC guys. Click here (http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/01/move_over_alabama_and_auburn_d.html) to read the article.

Barring injury, something tells me this kid might have a decent shot at making a team.
