I heard "daggering" is pretty popular there as well. Might want to take up a course?

Yaa! Ehh!!

1. Step One:

From now until your all in Florida. Talk alot about how lovely and friendly Florida's beaches are.

2. Step Two:

The day after you arrive in Florida. Visit Marineland and spend alot of time viewing the shark tank.

3. Step Three:

Talk alot about recent and persistent shark sightings/attacks near Bahamian beaches.

4. Step Four.

Should be taken care of.

Your mother-in-law pleads to remain in Florida until you and your wife's return from the Bahamas.

See how happy she is:

I hope that helps Upnorth but feel free to ask for more friendly Maritimer advice. Anytime.

Woody, the mother in law is not the matriarch of this or any family, but if you have discount tickets to a shark tank feel free to send them her way along with a loving push, er I mean hug.

What to do in the Bahamas?? Really dude...FUCK....and take pictures. I did that last summer. Nothing better than a pic of your boner with your girl with some nice scenery. Think of postcards. Don't be so selfish. She will cherish it.

Seriously I was just being me and having some fun. Not at all meant to be at your expense Upnorth.

I often took my Mother-In-Law 'the Matriarch of my wife's side'; away on trips, as it just worked. Great breaks for her and for us too.

The best trips were always with the children. Vivian was a great sitter for her grandchildren during evenings out fun for my dearest and I.

My best suggestion. Look for Canadians. Their alot of fun.

So this time just the wife and I are going to Boston in August. Aside from the BJ postcards (which I fully intend on happening) what is the #1 thing to do in Boston? We are booking a tour of downtown and harbour one day that ends at Cheers. I have a few morning meetings but other than that free time abounds. Anyone live there have any tips?

Eat Italian food at the north end.

Go to http://www.mikespastry.com/ and get a Boston Creme Puff.

Boston has a lot of self-guided history walks, which I did quite a few years ago. Quite interesting if you are into American Revolution history, perhaps not so much for a Canadian.

Lots of historical buildings, cemeteries and the like.

We toured the USS Constitution, the shipyards around it and the museum associated with it. That was about 17 years ago, and we could board the ship and walk all through it. Don't know if you still can or not.

We also took an afternoon and went to Salem, a short drive north of Boston. Interesting for its historical perspectives on the Salem Witch Trials and early shipping and fishing history. We toured the House of Seven Gables, which includes the mansion and Nathaniel Hawthorne's childhood home that was moved to the site of the mansion about which he wrote his novel. Toured the witch museum and cemetery, the harbor masters house, etc. Nice quiet day on the ocean shore, but with lots to do if you want to.
