Take some time to reflect on why most of us aren't at work this Monday.

I'd have to check the name on the tombstone, but I may have seen her yesterday. And by the way, that empty section across the road isn't so empty anymore.

Great pix Joe.

The reminder is spot on.

Actually, I was at Arlington and took a photo of a woman reclining on a grave with a friend sitting next to her. I looked and it wasn't the same name. I also heard part of a conversation near one of the newer graves about how the kids were handling the loss. I tried not to get too close as I didn't want to intrude. Section 60 is a tricky place for me as I want to photograph the tributes and memories without intruding on the grief of the living.

I went to Arlington last summer when I took the kids to DC for vacation....makes you put things in perspective!

The cemetery has come out with a searchable app and website: ANC Explorer. The person who showed it to me organizes the Memorial Day parade and works with Radio America. When I was there this year, I was trying to find someone who had died the day I was born. The gentleman put in the date and found names and locations of 20 people. At least next year, I'll know where to go.
