“(Ted) Thompson and Mike McCarthy have built a longstanding winner,” said former Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Polian. “This is the hardest thing to do in the National Football League. And they do it as well as anyone ever has. Others get the headlines, the Pack keeps cashing playoff checks. The signing of Rodgers sets them up to continue the run and the draft additions of Datone Jones, Eddie Lacy and little-known but very productive Johnathan Franklin may be enough to get them to the top. One thing is certain; they'll be in the hunt.”

This is high praise from Polian. The Packers are 2nd on the list, and near the top of todays power rankings too. I don't know the records, but the Packers have to be at or near the top of the NFL in wins/(post season, regular season and championships) over the last 20 years and it looks like it has no end in sight.

I can predict that I'll drink my next really delicious ale in the Maritimes next month. I can predict thus accurately.

GO PACKERS !

The end is always in sight; it's just that sometimes we're blind to it.

Maybe it was the magic mushrooms talking to them but then the 70s ruined their high. We now drink green, sizzurp laced (the shit Jolly got busted for) Koolaid but regardless there must be an end eventually. Other than the few down years since the 90s I don't know what a bad Packers team is. I imagine I will hate it but hey at least a win will count for more than a brick on the road to the Superbowl.

Hard to take anything like this seriously. All it would take would be for Rodgers to have a career ending injury and the packers would be past shit crack, no paddle in site, with some asshole in the canoe rocking the boat. We aren't built like the patriots where they can plug guys in and still be serviceable. Our offense is so predicated on the passing game that if our QB goes down, we're done.

The Pharmaseahawks are in 3rd place, and they've had exactly one year out of the last five where they've amassed a winning record....
